Reached Pekan, Pahang for petrol top-up and a bit of stretching then rolled out to K.Terengganu via cherating...

Check in hotel at Primula K.Terengganu ard 3 plus...

Weather - cloudy wif drizzling at some parts

Speed - varies very much due to some heavy vehicles

Road condition - improve greatly with road widen and re-surfaced at mersing

-For return trip back to Sin...

Checked-out at 12pm and have sumptious lunch enuff to sustain till dinner coz planning not to stop in between...

At 2pm, still in K.Terengganu to begin the return journey...

Heavy traffic along the journey to cherating due to weekend flow of traffic back to KL using the same road...

Reached Pekan after kuantan at abt 8pm to have dinner...

By then heavy downpour have started following us from kuantan...

Continued journey to mersing in heavy and windy rain...

Vision affected badly due to rains droplets and lack of lighting by the roadside...

Winding and sloppy road really demand your fullest concentration and physical alertness...

Endure...Endure...Endure...

Reached mersing at about 11pm and stopped for supper...

With the last drop of energy left, rolled out to JB...

Still in heavy storm smashing against the windscreen, negotiating hilly road with thought of when its gonna end...

Persevere...Persevere...Persevere...

See the lights of JB in the far sight ooze gigantic relief...

Clear jb & sin CIQ with light traffic...

Reached home at 2am [sweatdrop] ...

Weather - Heavy and windy downpour

Road condition - Dark and slippery (double whammy combo)

Speed - Slow and hardly steady

nice account of your journey to the East... (Coast - that is...)

if you got pics it would be nice, but if not, care to share any learning points from this trip?

I'd learnt not to go East during the NE Monsoon... very wet, windy, flooding, etc... but I guess that's where Adventurers dare...

The Edix is a great machine to go on these B roads on the East Coast... I'd gone before but during the June school holidays... roads were dry, yet challenging haha

but the fully loaded Edix 1.7 gamely accelerated and braked when required... no issue unless you are looking for sports car performance...

nice vehicle the Edix... (that's why i bot one) and remember... it's a FRV... not an MPV... nor is it a SUV...

FRV is a Family Recreational Vehicle... in case you din know...

I was surprised you are able to make your trip there. There were flooding reports from 1 dec to 12 Dec. I intend to make my trip to Tasik Kenya but unfortuately due to the flooding, I got to push back to next year feb.
