Low end is not for sprinting? rolleyes.gif

What is your definition of sprinting?

sprinting = drag race.

low end is good for pick up only.

at high rpm, they are very weak.

this explains why their century sprint timing are over 10 sec.

hmmm... so many specifications also not much use..

the easiest question : 0-100 kmh = ??? sec ???

when u say less than 2.4L NA japanese sure waste petrol, do u include Type Rs, SIRs etc?

unless u saying the taxi's 0-100 timing is less than 7 sec? [confused][confused]

hmm sir is a 8second car. if miss gear or shift too slowly, also kana smoke [laugh]

actually all these sir, type r, all their low end not gd, if they wan run, must rev till redline.

anything below vtec zone, it just another 1.6 ,1.8 or 2L.

Hrrrr....i have asked many sonata taxi drivers b4. Surprising none of them know!!!!

I think my sonata is 161bhp / 280nm. i think only.

I think yours should be correct, given that it is 2.4L petrol version. For the Taxi, which is likely to be turbo diesel, I think it should be somewhere like 143bhp/33kgm, doubt it is 170bhp. Unless it is a V6 or 3L car. Like what you have said, none of them really know. Probably the best is to ask Comfort. [laugh]

I did mentioned the Torque is good for PICKUP didn't I?

yah bro.

i just want to differentiate between sprinting and pick-up.

fast pick-up does not mean fast drag.smile.gif

taxis and commercial vehicles are made to have low-end torque because they usually have more loads.nod.gif

Petrol 2.4 Sonata is probably about 161bhp, sounds correct. But torque is definitely way lower than 280nm, my guess is that it should be about 220 - 230NM thereabout, even without checking out the specs on the internet.

NA, 1.6 is about 140-150NM, 2L should have 190 - 200NM while NA 2.4 will have 220-230NM. For FI engines, all bets are off....
