Second-hand Rolex

can anyone pls advise where can i get second-hand rolex watches such as GMT Master or Submariner. any local shop or links. Thks.

well, since u r asking for such lobang, obviously, u r not "experience" with second hand watches, so becareful..... u need someone trustable with such matter... u will never know has that watch been drop before or not....and u cant 100% "trust" the person who is selling u the watch can u?...

 

i also not that experience but i'm lucky that i do have 2 guys who "play" watches around me at work place....

actually, aiming at a secondhand black face daytona but dare not take it even at 15K (which is suppose to be a good buy according to my 2 consultants)..... i'm just waiting for my "urge" to pass....cannot let them poison me like that......

You can have any Rolex verified at the Rolex center ( was it at Far east sc? cant rem exactly) but seller will ask you to pay if it is genuine. Think it should be less $ 100.

 

I was interested but did not do it (buy any)yet cos i think that Rolex still too oldie for me.

There are certain rolex range which can be quite trendy and not oldie looking..for example, the sea dweller..but its very hard to find a 2nd hand for this as there is not many sold in the mkt for first hand...price is close to $8000 for a new one..

btw, when buying rolex, be aware not to buy those "old man" model.. those has "no" secondhand value..... and some model is not for "old" man in fact... i only have one, explorer-II ...looking for the second piece but not much $$ i have ... i really like the daytona but at 15K+... have to think twice, thrice, think with my pillow high high ....

If I buy a 2nd-hand Rolex, I make sure I can have a "feel" of it before putting down my money.

 

A "thorough servicing" is definitely a must !

btw, how much "should" the price of a second hand rolex say GMT master be compare to a brand new one in terms of % off to be a good buy?

 

also which are the model which have "better" resale value (say cost >10k)

U talking about Pepsi? Now difficult to find. Daytona and sub(date) would be good buy. Price are alway good for this. The newer they are the higher the cost(if same condition). People's park got a lot and like DM mention the are there!

Second hand daytona at 15K , lucky u didn't get it...Daytona brand new last few months selling at around 13K, Daytona actually have a drop in premium...now GMT II, Sub with date and SD price shooting up constantly....especially SD since the launch of Deepsea model a replacement on SD...
