Online purchases

Anyone knows if it's necessary to key in your actual billing address for online credit transactions to go through?

 

There are purchases that have no need for an actual billing address as they do not require shipping(e.g. donations, subscriptions etc).

Some merchants,do need actual billing address as for verification.

so if it goes through on their site it's a-ok already?

 

my ibanking shows a sum (the purchase) being on hold for 3 days already so I was wondering if it would be rejected because of billing address

From what I know, some sites may reject your order if the billing address is different from record. It happened to me once. Waited and waited for my order to be processed but at the end of 3 weeks, found that my order was rejected.

Usually they will inform u via email wether the purchase is in process to ship out or cancel. Cancelled means somewhere wrong,check with them on tis issue.

Change to the true address and order again.Usually they wont deduct if the order is cancelled
