Vibrating speedometer

My speedo meter once in a while will vibrate while driving. The needle fluctuates between 10-15km from the actual speed while I maintain the same speed. Now the needle broke from all that vibration.

 

Wanted to replace needle but worried it will break again, any bro experience this b4 and know the cause?

A sign of a dry cable for a cable operated speedo.

yeah,if tat is cable-drive type: older version/model ride,

then u wud hv 2loosen it fr gearbox(tat plastic plug is double use as gearoil indicator),then loose the terminal fr the speedometer, pull tat cable out slowly,

grease it b4 fix it back same way as u loosen it.

 

dont DIY,get a mech to do it, or replace wit a new 1.
