Call 'em upz 2 ask abt procedure, thy email form 2 mi 2. i repli via email 2 indicate wan 2 terminate all policies, incl self & dependants, & even listed down all policies nbr, incl mine 3. Note: D top of d form request 4 mi name/policy nbr/etc. after fillin in d form, i den mail back complete form ... 2 weeks past & no response from 'em ... 5. so, call 'em upz 3days ago & was den told dat onli dependants policies terminated cos i din incl my policy nbr in d table of d form. So mine not canx 6. thy ask mi 2 re-submit form wif mi policy nbr if i wan 2 terminate mine, sayin dat some policy holder change their mind 7. thinkin back, tot i fill in d form wif mi policy nbr, so ask 'em wat if i din hv dependant & return d form wif juz onli d top filled-in, iznt dat same as requestin 2 terminte mi policy. this was in addition 2 d email statin all d policies nbr, incl mine, wan 2 bi terminated. Aunti's CSO kept sayin cant help, cant help... 8. Finalli, fax an'ther form wif all d policies nbr, hopefull' thy dun give any more excuses reall' regret ever goin 2 'em in d 1st place, if u r mi friend, mi will strongly NOT recommend goin 2 'em, ever again What i find disturbin: 1. Havin sent d email wif instruction dat i wan 2 terminate all policies, & after thy receive form, if they find form & email instruction not telly, shouldn't thy call mi upz & ask, or email mi 2 clarify d 'so-call' error? 2. if i'd not call 'em up, i may not even bi aware of d 'error', & d difference in their interpretation from mi, thy should hv d courtesy 2 clarify wif mi 3. havin 2 re-do d process ma'chiam like 'red-tape' 2 make it difficut 4 mi 4. look thru' yr policies & if u think not worth it 2 pay more, u noe wat 2 do 5. tried claminin' 2x in d past 4 mi ma, but both time reject cos amt was too 'low', so why pay more but still cant make claim 2 cover some of d cost, nett nett was a loss-win situation, ie got 2 pay out from own pocket 4 hospital bill & still pay more 4 premium, dun quite make cents Juz 2 Share: good thingy dat i din buy mi travel ins wif 'em, their not d cheapest [based on basic/classic plan], got 1 wif HSBC [go 2 their website to sign upz online & got a 20% discount somemore] ↡ Advertisement Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I dunno about the ppl working in NTUC...you know, whether they can understand your e-mail. Surely there's a person in-charge of your said policy. Did you find out who it is? Talk to him/her directly. I'm assuming cos you mentioned "they". Did you direct your e-mail to the person in-charge? It's difficult to always speak to a different person when you call. But for long or formal messages, it will be a torture. I wonder if TS communicated to NTUC in this manner? If so then it is no wonder they took so long to understand and reply. In summary, TS is trying to say that, he tried to cancel this insurance policy for himself and his family members. so he emailed them a form, including the policy numbers etc for himself and his family members. however, the insurance company didnt reply to him. so he called and found out that only the policies of his family members were cancelled, and his policy was not cancelled. the insrance company said that its cos he did not indicate his policy number in the form, but TS said he did. so skipping some parts that TS mentioned about blah blah etc, he emailed the form again. then finally succeeded in cancelling his policy as well. and TS is trying to say that this insurance company got no initiative dont know how to handle things etc. end of story!
