Quantum 5th Gear December 8, 2008 Share December 8, 2008 not so bad lah as previous comment, IMO nois and FC is decent for 2.0L, if compare to Civic 2.0, a bit underpower coz heavy body[lipsrsealed] if not particular reason, Civic 2.0 still is the top choice , right now even price Civic also quite competitive
Luckycar98 Neutral Newbie December 9, 2008 Share December 9, 2008 What is the price difference between the two rides ?
Singaporesiao Neutral Newbie December 10, 2008 Author Share December 10, 2008 (edited) 2nd hand 2.0 ex and 1.5 ex only afew K diff... how come 2.0 ex depreciate so fast...? 2.0 ex oso cheaper by 5k compared to 2.0 civic... at least for 2nd hand market... Eyke Supercharged December 10, 2008 Share December 10, 2008 locals usually prefer the lower capacity engine variant, for savings on road tax/fuel.
Darth_mel 1st Gear December 10, 2008 Share December 10, 2008 Actually it is a false savings. Whatever you saved on road tax is negated by having stepping harder to drag the heavy car body forwards, thus using more fuel. Unless you are the kind who travels 60-60km/h all the time. LPPL in the end IMO. A decent power-to-weight ratio is more desirable.
Happily1986 5th Gear December 10, 2008 Share December 10, 2008 buyers seeking big car category either want face e.g. Honda Accord/Toyota Camry.( Luxurious styling and big road presence) or seek sporty performance e.g. JDM CTR/Golf GTi/Accord Euro Type R (Good handling/ample power to weight ratio) Where does the Mit Lancer 2.0 fits in? Target market segment too narrow. Hence 2nd hand market for Mit Lancer 2.0 is kaput.
Happily1986 5th Gear December 10, 2008 Share December 10, 2008 i read somewhere else in the forum that CnC supposedly imported a new batch of Lancers that had the noise problem rectified. on another note, i had the privilege of listening to the rev notes of Corolla Altis/Nissan Sunny/Subaru Impreza TS/Mit Lancer 1.5 Ex while i was washing car at MSCP. They came in one after another and so i paused to listen while they revved up to climb the slope. Conclusion: Mit is indeed the loudest. Not sporty but rather like a powerboat when engine is revving. Heard from other bros who test drove this car that they were able to hear this as well. Apparently hood soundprooding is also abysmal.
Tas0577 1st Gear December 11, 2008 Share December 11, 2008 Agree, I have heard many complaints from owners driving the Lancer EX that the sound proofing really very bad, can hear the engine noise very loudly compared to Lancer GLX.
Watwheels Supersonic December 11, 2008 Share December 11, 2008 Huh? I thought 2.0L one is called Lancer GT, EX is the 1.5L.
Picanto 3rd Gear December 11, 2008 Share December 11, 2008 i think all LANCER got sound proofing issues. nevertheless its still a good car. no car can be perfect one.
Singaporesiao Neutral Newbie December 11, 2008 Author Share December 11, 2008 I think Lancer EX is a good car too... but seems like many people telling me the 1.5 version no power... so if im not a racer wannabe... can i get the 1.5 EX?? ↡ Advertisement
