Billcoke 2nd Gear December 2, 2008 Share December 2, 2008 Omnia has rolled out new firmware, i900DXHJ1, this firmware will resolve the battery killer problem. http://www.samsungmobile.com/promotion/omnia/index.jsp My friend upgrade hers from HH1 to HJ1, tested it for three weeks, and the software is stable. My version is G2 and not sure if I should upgrade mine to HJ1 too. Anybody else upgraded to HJ1 too, and what other improvements for HJ1?? ↡ Advertisement
Help1 1st Gear December 2, 2008 Share December 2, 2008 err...there is no release note so how do you know the firmware resolve the battery issue as well as other issues? Samsung should upload each and every release notes of the firmware version so that users can read before upgrading to the latest firmware. Upgrade the firmware if it address your issues else why fix if things ain't broken?

Sfhuang Clutched December 2, 2008 Share December 2, 2008 I've already been using HJ1 for weeks. So far no problems at all, response is slightly faster as compared to earlier versions.

Ncss Clutched December 2, 2008 Share December 2, 2008 (edited) Another question... When i plug the phone via USB to "Window Vista" PC, it could auto detect the driver and shows phone + SD card folders straight away. But when plug in to "Window XP" PC, it cannot detect the driver... so I cannot open the phone folders. What should I do?? Billcoke 2nd Gear December 2, 2008 Author Share December 2, 2008 err...there is no release note so how do you know the firmware resolve the battery issue as well as other issues? After my friend's Omnia upgraded to HJ1, her battery life which used to last only 2 days max can now last as long as 6 days. Yeah, would be better if Samsung could publish the release note, so that we can make informed decision whether to upgrade the firmware. It is a painful process to reinstall everything again. ↡ Advertisement
