Black Cayman Detail

Just spent 6hrs with my partner to detail this cayman. What a sexy ride! It was a joy going over the curves while applying the sealant and seeing the finish. Here's the process:

1) Wash and clay

2) Orange LC pad with 3M ultrafina and Meg's Paint conditioning creme on PC

3) Grey LC pad with 3M Ultrafina for the "jewelling" effect on PC

4) Wash and Blow Dry (kekeke, used a leaf blower to dry the car to minimise chances of scratching the car cos the paint is quite soft)

5) 1 layer Ultima Paint Guard Plus

6) Exterior trim dressing

Heres some pics of the defects:

wow! nice turn around there.. you made that black look great!

did you mix the ultrafina in to extend the meg's working time for the 1st step?

hi four4s, u r spot on. dat was my intention as the meg tend to dry up quite fast. also, as i was using a new orange pad, the ultrafina seems to lessen the hazing left behind by the meg

wow.. I think this batch of pics is better than the first set. That's truly amazing depth achieved there.

How does ultima perform in our climate durability wise? does it streak on application in our climate thus requiring a wipe down afterwards?

cheers.
