Achtung 6th Gear November 29, 2008 Author Share November 29, 2008 Dudes, nope, the shop handled. The bulbs. Not touching. The bulb will still light up if I switch on and off. Just that it will only last a couple of seconds before it shuts off.

Carcraze 1st Gear November 29, 2008 Share November 29, 2008 8000K doesn't necessarily have to be brighter. It's just the colour difference.

Watwheels Supersonic November 29, 2008 Share November 29, 2008 Did u turn the headlight's "Auto switch ON" to off before u did the change??
Watwheels Supersonic November 29, 2008 Share November 29, 2008 I found this on the web... Problem: HID will shut down itself sometimes." Solution: Inside of the HID ballast, there is a micro chip which is used to detect whether there is any potential problem. Any potential problems such as sudden high impulse or shortage of power input from battery or extremely high heat will trigger the self-protect and shut the ballast off temporarily. It takes about 3 mins for the micro chip to reset itself and the ballast will be working again. Once this happens, please turn off the HID and wait about 3 to 5 mins. Inspection Procedure: Please check the car battery. Check all connections between the bulb, ballast, & igniter. Check the vehicle battery terminal. Chrispie 5th Gear November 30, 2008 Share November 30, 2008 I dont think it has anything to do with the light colour temperature.. Should be a circuit/loading issue. check the specs of the light socket wattage and the wattage of the new bulb..

Achtung 6th Gear November 30, 2008 Author Share November 30, 2008 hmmmm great information. Wonder, if the Microchip itself will self learn the new bulb? I tried many times and each time it shuts off itself. ↡ Advertisement
