Even if you have a 15 gal tank installed 1.8m above your head and the pressure into the tank is only that much, say 0.5 bar, it is not going to help too. Having a booster pump definitely will increase pressure.  Of course the rest of the article on the shower head,, restrictor,  etc are thing you should consider when you don't have pressure. Rain shower helps too when it flow downwards instead of having to spray out.

I think the main issue is that even if u use a water pressure pump, but ultimately are using a flow restricted heating device (instant heater), it's like trying to step on the accelerator while holding down the brakes at the same time.

Flow rate is highly dependent on pressure yes.

i am staying 40 yr old flat in tampines ... (no pipe in gas also) ...

water pressure is 👎 ... even when i am at top floor, right under the water tanks. 😅

Try feedback to your TC. Sometimes it helps when they replace the control valve for your water mains.

From the article then i know that staying on the most top floor, water pressure will be low? So it is not a good thing to stay too high floor. Staying low floor seems better for water pressure.

I stay on 6th floor. I have a grohe overhead shower, think it's about 240mm dimension.

Rain shower head cannot use on low water pressure de. Lol.

Yup... I paid $170 to find out... Was hoping the pump heater would help... But it was just like walking under the edge of a flat during rain.

No use de even you complain to PUB, HDB and town council. They cannot solve the problem at all cause nothing much they can do about it.

I am using something like this...but different brand And no beads.

I went to HoKee to ask before and since they did not have pump heaters, the guy advised me to get this type of shower head.  Does help a little only.

The only other way I can think of is to change the water pipes in the house to thicker diameter type.

The water flow through the pump heater and the laser cut shower head showed so much potential... But alas with the rain shower... :ouch-it-hurts:

The metal plate is very thin... Think it's not possible to cut holes with angles.... So the water shoots out straight only.

I also bought a 6" laser cut shower head... But it still can only shoot straight.

If your incoming flow and pressure is just that, of course the pump can 9nly achieve what juices you have. With a tank, it does draws down till it is empty. Haha. Generally,  under the plumbing guide, you would be required to install transfer tank when PUB pressure cannot maintain to your development.

You should go to Tuscani Tapware, think they are the only one in sg who sell shower head for low water pressure. I bought one shower head from them, water flow improved quite a bit. But their low water pressure shower head not cheap.

Anyone got a plumber to recommend? Need to replace storage heater. Some asked for as much as the heater! Just need to mount on wall and reconnect/extend the pipes.
