I'm not sure what is Motorpay ... I use virtual cashcard for all the tolls & ERP, link to credit card to auto top-up, and you can see your transactions online  .. only need cashcard for carparks.

vCashCard (nets.com.sg)

Its a sad state of affairs for the Singapore motorists.

All these should be integrated into one single platform. ERP, carpark etc.

The fact that one needs to still top up cash card for car parks already defeats the purpose for virtual cashcard. And for carparks, some of them only still takes chip based versions.

Beauty World Plaza.😁

From this video seems able to accept those newer cash card, the sign on the gantry box showing the new contactless cash card. Never been there, so I may be wrong.

I hope that they have upgraded by now.

Previously, entry is no need insert card, but exit need to insert cash card. due to the slope and the positioning of the cash card reader, you can imagine how difficult it is to PAY!

Used to frequent this carpark, but prefer to just park at the open carpark opposite after implementation of ERP gantry despite potential bird bombs.

May I ask when do you guys top card your cash card ? when balance at $20 or $10 ?  Do you have the habit of checking your cashcard balance ?

I find the virtual cashcard is very handy ...  there was once I had around $20  balance in my cashcard,  drove into a city hotel for lunch ... just 2ish hour parking cost me $18 ... totally shock, didn't expect so expensive.. almost wipe out the entire balance in the card.. luckily got the virtual card ... not need to worry about ERP/CBD tolls....  else imagine you have to scramble somewehere to top up the cash card ...  btw ... I am those who do not keep spare cashcard in the car ...

Get either nets flash pay or EZ-link.

Both can be reloaded with your mobile.

These cards don't work at those old CP gantries. I thought that's what the latest few posts were about.

I've encountered this at both the industrial park at 53 Ubi Ave 1 and (ironically) the gantry at AML when descending from the SG Carmart office (where MyCarForum is based).

No idea if the latter has been upgraded. @kobayashiGT?

All I know is that I had to pay the security guard in cash at the bottom because my chipless card was rejected by their crappy old machine.

For AML, no changes at all. Still need chip cashcard.

I have all 3 actually plus one more as backup.

The vcashcard, chip cashcard and the flashpay cashcard. All in the car. I have one more chip cashcard which stays in my wallet.

When any one or two of the physical cards get low on value still got backup.
