Scion Turbocharged December 1, 2008 Share December 1, 2008 haa... same here... the email says the bank declined my application... ah, might as well, cos i already regretted signing up after knowing it can only be used for normal erp and not carparks ↡ Advertisement
Josho 1st Gear December 1, 2008 Share December 1, 2008 (edited) I think it is better to check up on motorpay website. application approve means ur device is ready for detection, but not ur cc. maybe can check the website if they stated what will it be come if bank decline ur cc while application is success. Here's what I found under termination FAQ. Under what circumstances, will my MotorPay service be terminated? Your MotorPay service will be terminated immediately if your card is terminated or when MotorPay cannot authorise your card for earmarking or any other charges. You will be notified by email. Neoxenon Neutral Newbie December 1, 2008 Share December 1, 2008 Dear bros, Wondering if anyone has the same experience as me. My cash card works intermittently in my ICU - sometimes it works and sometime it doesn't read. I kena fine by LTA twice liao, even though my cash card is inside the ICU, but it didn't read. It happened before, and I changed my cashcard 2 months ago. And the two times I got fined, it was with the NEW cashcard! It seems that the cashcard warps easily... I had to push and wriggle the cashcard inside the ICU before the beeps comes on. A while later, the card refuses to be detected, and I can't tell whether it's working when I'm driving. Go pass the ERP, the long beep comes on, and I know I kena fine again for nothing! It's a screwed-up system - the drivers get penalized no matter what, and there's virtually no way to plead innocence! Scholars!

Kelpie 2nd Gear December 3, 2008 Share December 3, 2008 (edited) I checked with them before if it is the cash card problem and not the IU problem,. you get charged for S$50. In the end, I give up. I just bought a few cash cards and try until 2 are working reliably and stick to them. Regards, Edited December 3, 2008 by Kelpie
oomph Neutral Newbie December 3, 2008 Share December 3, 2008 I went down to vicom and they ascertained that the cash card is at fault. They provided me a "turn up memo" to verify that the cash card is faulty and asked me to fax it together with my fine to appeal. Will see if this works. Tinytok 1st Gear April 11, 2012 Share April 11, 2012 i am wondering why no one was mentioning the improvement of safety aspects of driving if we were to use this service? How many times have you seen or yourself doing a quick lane change from right to left in order to stop and insert your cashcards when you spotted/remembered that there's an ERP in front of you? How can this save new drivers from a accident records or DIP deduct+fine? I feel that S$2.5 monthly charges are just like a insurances for such scenario to happen. Seems like it was a payment service solution by Wirecard. If it's regarding refund on deposits, probably better to seek help fr your credit card issuer which partnered this service previously. Bezbee 5th Gear January 11, 2021 Share January 11, 2021 I'm not sure what is Motorpay ... I use virtual cashcard for all the tolls & ERP, link to credit card to auto top-up, and you can see your transactions online .. only need cashcard for carparks. vCashCard (nets.com.sg)
Dafansu Turbocharged January 11, 2021 Share January 11, 2021 I got an active account since many years back, but nowadays I just leave the cashcard in the IU. Theft from cashcard from IU nowadays not that common compare to the past when very few cars got the in-cam camera. ↡ Advertisement
