Verve 1st Gear November 22, 2008 Share November 22, 2008 hotels a little run down, not much to see or do, pales with genting highland unless you just want something different. different as in the feel of a european town. maybe a short 1 night stay followed by a detour to another destination. Sir8 Neutral Newbie November 22, 2008 Share November 22, 2008 A good place to relax. Just 1 night is sufficient. The French dinner is lovely too.

Ender Hypersonic November 22, 2008 Share November 22, 2008 Daytime visit for photograph and enjoy the scenery is alright for the french town and jap garden. But once passed dinner, really nothing to do, boring, confine to a small place..
Verve 1st Gear November 22, 2008 Share November 22, 2008 its expensive but cheap by sg exchange rate standards. for the french dinner per pax about 80 rm thereabouts. i don t find the french food good. the hotel breakfast provided is acceptable i kind of find the italian food ok but nothing to scream about. since you are driving there better to drive down 1/2 hr to a good chinese restaurant imho, most prolly cheaper and better. ps not all rooms are the same some are very run down, if you don't like request for the hotel to change. i got the room in the block starting with g something which is better after i was shocked to see the condition of the first room. since you are with family best avoid ground floor rooms for security reasons. Sir8 Neutral Newbie November 22, 2008 Share November 22, 2008 It is in RM not Euro so no worries. :) The last I went was a peak period hotel charges almost double the low season. They had dance performances till abt 10pm. Strolling around the village at nite was nice and relaxing. Room was pretty OK just don't expect a Four Seasons. It was clean and cosy with pretty poster beds. It was a positive experience to me. Of course I if could afford it, I prefer the real French.
Verve 1st Gear November 22, 2008 Share November 22, 2008 not in that sense but its MY we are talking about so its better to be vigilant. the design of the 1st floor units very easy to break in just a normal bedroom door at the corridor side and a normal door with no gate at the balcony end. plus there is supposed to be midnight shuttle but these workers (all malay refuse to run the service at night and just wanna hang around and chit chat) they sure look like the rowdy bunch so i wouldnt take chances.
