Quantum 5th Gear November 20, 2008 Share November 20, 2008 better no , actually not so cheap as it's advs, use low class oil, excluding 'this and that'..., if you want good engine oil and 'this and that', finally not much different with AD
Speddevil Neutral Newbie November 20, 2008 Share November 20, 2008 So bro any recommended workshop ?
B777jubilee 2nd Gear November 20, 2008 Share November 20, 2008 I beg to differ. Been using Autosaver for 4 years liao. You can choose to use higher end oil, and in the end, still cheaper than AD. Just go and ask lor, and compare, still save a lot compared to AD. Of course they are slightly more ex than some workshops but u can rest assure they use genuine Toyota/Nissan parts. Fcw75 Hypersonic November 20, 2008 Share November 20, 2008 There will always be supporters and detractors for any workshop. So stick to the one you feel comfortable with. The one that do not give you the feeling of kenna carrot but yet you like the worksmanship. Just to share my experience, AS do not always use genuine Nissan part. Once I was servicing my Cabstar there and they use OEM oil filter only, yet charged me more for the part, more expensive than a genuine one. I am a supporter of Riverview but there are some bros here who have bad experience with them. So it boils down to personal preferences.
Kungming 1st Gear November 20, 2008 Share November 20, 2008 Been with AS for like 3 years. Yeah realised that their price is on the high side nowadays, considering to find another WS for the next servicing. As for quality wise, it all boils down to the individual mechanic doing your car that day, some are ok, one are arrrrrrrrrgggh
Newbie_driver Neutral Newbie November 21, 2008 Author Share November 21, 2008 i am only intending to do standard servicing for my altis as my warranty with AD has expired so looking around for workshop to do my 50K servicing...

Relaxed33 Neutral Newbie November 21, 2008 Share November 21, 2008 You can use your own engine oil at Proswift but labour to change it will be $35 instead.
Acevin Clutched November 21, 2008 Share November 21, 2008 No Prob. Will update on this weekend. But I should b using mineral oil instead of syn oil since mine is an OPC and that mileage very low. so mineral oil shld b more recommended. Any suggestion on that? Thanks. Acevin Clutched November 21, 2008 Share November 21, 2008 I think they mainly use bizoil. They shld b the authorised dealer for tat.. But I shld b using bk mineral oil since my usage is low and heard syn oil for low usage may not b effective.. Not sure true or not.
