Ticklish8 3rd Gear November 9, 2008 Share November 9, 2008 Look at the COE carefully $101. Technically worthless....
Kyojin 1st Gear November 9, 2008 Share November 9, 2008 Sounds like quite a fair price (but can knock it down slightly) Here's a rough breakdown: PARF = $12762 (90% OMV) COE = $30 Body = $1000-2000 TOTAL SCRAP = $14200 Remember that the dealer probably bought this almost at scrap value. So the rest is pure dealer profit. Cons: High FC Pro: Easy to maintain Parts are easy to come by Should be a nice point A to B car with low exposure to loan. Enduro25 Clutched November 9, 2008 Share November 9, 2008 the price i feel is ok but still can bargain somemore to be even a gd price to buy..FC shlnt be affected much cos is a Manual drive...interior and exterior is well maintain by judging frm the pics..since is for onli short term use if i were u i would buy..and somemore the depreciation is low.. Kyojin 1st Gear November 9, 2008 Share November 9, 2008 that's a false assumption. the $101 COE is only worthless a few years ago when the asking prices for such cars were high. the price on this Impreza seems to reflect the low COE price. when it's scrapped before the 10th anniversary you get $11344... how is that worthless? at $2k++ depreciation per annum for a 7 year old sedan, it's hard to beat. Green_carnation Clutched November 9, 2008 Share November 9, 2008 looks nice.. quite well maintained.. price sounds reasonable too.. but can nego further.. maybe $16k? but impreza ts said to be high fc due to awd..
Thypig33 Neutral Newbie November 9, 2008 Share November 9, 2008 i dun think the price can lower until 16k la. If dealer is willing i think a $17k will be very good already, considering the dealer also need to earn profit from the resale of the car. Agree that the car is well maintained, it will be best to arrange for a viewing of the car. This car has great potential to be modded. Insurance part will be a lil' high i believe. Green_carnation Clutched November 9, 2008 Share November 9, 2008 Asked him to try nego for 16k.. always nego for the lowest.. then try to come to an agreement to the price between both.. nvr say can or cannot.. it all depends on how the dealer will look at it.. mod potential i dunno.. as for insurance it's considered a normal sedan not performance car like rex or evo.. so insurance will depends on age n driving experience, same as other sedans.. Thypig33 Neutral Newbie November 9, 2008 Share November 9, 2008 (edited) sorry hor... i am new here, thanks for the infomation though. I always thought insurance is based on the number of same model getting into accident. I saw civic higher than other cars. Green_carnation Clutched November 9, 2008 Share November 9, 2008 new dun mean not right.. maybe u r right lo.. anyways most insurance of sedans are based on drivers' age and driving experience..
Kyojin 1st Gear November 9, 2008 Share November 9, 2008 as well as the number of claims for that particular model... and cost to repair, etc. a lot of factors.
Green_carnation Clutched November 9, 2008 Share November 9, 2008 ooh.. so it's always cheaper to buy insurance for less popular models..
Thypig33 Neutral Newbie November 9, 2008 Share November 9, 2008 Maybe some model that is widely found but no one go modify? confirm less accident = less claim. Maybe Nissan Latio... can gather and order together more freebies

Leecc73 Neutral Newbie November 10, 2008 Share November 10, 2008 I have buy 2 101 car before. How worth is worth it??? As long as the car is good condition, then go ahead. However, if you need to spend money to repair and maintenance, then, too bad. My last ex, i spent >3k to repairone of them, one spoilt come by another one. Usually, ppl. selling such cheap because all the parts almost reach to life span. I suggest you send for VICOM before get it, just 100 +++ ↡ Advertisement
