Redstorm 1st Gear September 30, 2012 Share September 30, 2012 (edited) I think ur friend is senior LTC 9K quite high already Considering that a combatant 1WO can earn close to $6K, the last I know, $9K for a LTC is about there. 13177 Hypersonic October 1, 2012 Share October 1, 2012 No degree means cannot make it and only with degree can ? Hope you do not have that kind of mindset if you run your own business. Not say no degree cannot make it. There is usually a certain salary scale for certain qualification in a company, but also based on experiences la. So if you do not have much experience and no degree and yet can command such salary, then why did people study so much then? But if the 2WO has many years of experiences in army, i would think $3K consider a fair pay or maybe can be higher, even though he doesnt have high qualification. 13177 Hypersonic October 1, 2012 Share October 1, 2012 3k for a 2WO is really low. my cousin in Soldier Of Fortune, when he was a 3SG,his pay already 3k+ and he don't even have any degree. and they pay really good amount of bonus..he told me in 1 year alone his bonus all sums up to near 5-6 mths. well, compared to those ministars that gets 20+ mths bonus in a year..his is peanuts. Lol, didnt know that army pays so well?! Even 3SG can get $3K plus? Cant imagine commissioned officer's pay?!! Their pay should be even higher and better than those managers in private company?! No wonder one of my uncle who was a army regular and holds a rank of CPT, he seems to be very rich, can afford to chage brand new car every 3-4 years and go holidays few times per year and some others things! Mazdaowner Moderator October 1, 2012 Share October 1, 2012 20yrs ago, I saw my CO's pay slip by accident. He was going to retire soon. Salary...... ....... .......drumroll..... Less than $7000. But that was really 20 yrs ago. If today say double that. , it is also but merely <$15k However a lot of perks. Eat free, wear free, use free, sleep free.....can save all the money and drive C63... Muayhahahahahaha Depends a long on education level.

Throttle2 Supersonic October 1, 2012 Share October 1, 2012 20 years ago 7k can buy more then what 9k can today :) Btw, LTC shld be on super scale play range correct? Can't be only 10k.. I say at least close to 20k? Not sure leh, bro. Thats why i asked. Also depending on appointment vocation allowances etc etc can be quite different between same ranks similar to private sector. Throttle2 Supersonic October 1, 2012 Share October 1, 2012 Depends a long on education level. Yah that we all know Kong lai kong keir , govt job depends largely on paper qualifications. A not so good practical performer guy with strong paper qualifications will rise much faster and higher than a really solid smart guy without. That is the sad truth. Havent we seen enough? But this is not to say that the folks who climb fast are all trash.

Also depending on appointment vocation allowances etc etc can be quite different between same ranks similar to private sector. Any LTC here can clarify? Hee AFAIK, LTC got no superscale. Only certain COLs are on superscale. Pay-wise, a LTC should draw about $10K or more depending on his vocation and allowances.

The rest is up to ur individual performance + por lam pah skill. If u very on and keep organising events and by the side of high high ppl, ur pay + bonus will go up. If u like me, just get on with the job n no show face. U get the minimal according to ur pay scale. When I left the RSN as 1stSGT, 10yrs ago, my pay was ard S$3.6k. I posted my pay slip somewhere in this forum before. No bullsh!t. After 10yrs in the private sector, I still miss my days in the navy but I prefer my pay in the private sector. I am only a diploma holder until now. No educational qualifications upgrade.

I know many people their pay only range between $3k to $4K. But seems like many those who work as regular earns more than this.

Every person u meet inside, in ur brain must do quick analysis, Fren or Foe. When ur CO tell u, for IPPT, I would like to run the 2.4km ard the camp. Your answer makes a difference in ur pay and CEP!!! 1) Boss, cannot lah. Nowadays PTI say must take on the track. 2) Boss, I will check with PTI, measure the distance ard camp and persuade the PTI. Ur idea is great and one of the best I have come across. See what I mean. ↡ Advertisement
