Siewyuk Neutral Newbie December 3, 2008 Share December 3, 2008 RM 1.00 for 4 hours on weekdays, just parked there on tues. Safe as they have quite tight security at the large shopping malls. If not just get your car polished and waxed and theres always the hotel valet for the more kiasu.
Kelpie 2nd Gear December 3, 2008 Share December 3, 2008 There are 5 attractions! Extreme Park, Water Park, Wildlife Park, Scream Park and Amusement Park. If can only pick one, wonder which is a better park to go? Is Extreme Park suitable for adults. I doubt the amusement park is as good as genting and I doubt we want to get wet too . Kelpie 2nd Gear December 3, 2008 Share December 3, 2008 i see, ok, will confirm the oline price again, the last time my wife check, it was RM48 for adults. Depending which park you go to, if book on-line, it is as low as RM36 for adult and RM24 children. How to get such cheap entrance ticket for attraction like this in Singapore! http://www.sunway.com.my/onlineticketing/ Regards,

Knht Neutral Newbie December 4, 2008 Share December 4, 2008 oh, what are the charges for the MY based SIM card Cheap cheap, just go to Digi counter in shopping centre and ask for the prepaid SIM card. I think RM10 can get you one. Subsequent top up is something like RM5 onwards, I usually go for RM10. Regards, if u r driving in through Tuas, there is a stall at Gelang Patah R&R that sells prepaid sim cards...digi, maxis and celcom
Andrewkb Neutral Newbie December 9, 2008 Share December 9, 2008 Just back from Sunway Lagoon yesterday. I must say, the place is much better than expected ! Sunway Pyramid Mega mall ! HUGE ! Sunway lagoon itself is pretty huge too. Multiple theme parks within 1. Here's some tips: - Carpark: Brightly lit with security. RM$1 for first 4hr and RM$1/hr after Try to park lower level. The lifts are SLOW ! - Food and Drinks: Strictly no outside food in the theme park. As a guage, RM$13 for noodles and RM$5 for each ice-cream - Clothings: Bring extra set or change into swimwear even if you're in the "dry" part. Made a mistake, went for the Colorado Splash, River Rapids, Red Dragon Fumes and am TOTALLY WET ! Yes .. DRIPPED WET ! Had to change back into the wet clothings when leaving :( - Theme park admission is SINGLE entry ONLY ! Meaning, upon leaving, you CANNOT go back in ! Otherwise, the weather was perfect and the kids ENJOYED a lot ! Will definitely go back again in future

Kianbeng Clutched December 9, 2008 Share December 9, 2008 wow you guys drive so fast. I'm a snail. Drove about 115kmph (day) on avg on my way there. On return I drove avg 120 (night). Think I'm getting old or overly cautious since my kids are with me (but all got proper carseats/buckled). I also want to avoid paying the summons coz last time too experienced
Vtim 3rd Gear December 9, 2008 Author Share December 9, 2008 my take on this is that, it's much more safer for me to drive at least 140km/h as I'll fall asleep at 110+km/h . At 130~140km/h, I'll be able to keep away from those tour buses, they can go almost 130km/h
Kelpie 2nd Gear December 10, 2008 Share December 10, 2008 I just came back from my trip. It was a night drive both up and down. Night driving does need more concentration particularly under heavy downpour. Experience heavy downpour at certain parts of the NSH. Most part of the max speed was around 170Km/h, did went up to 190Km/h. Most of the time was around 140~150Km/h due to road condition. Was surprised that even at late hours on certain parts, there were so many cars on NSH. Probably due to holiday season. The lucky part was, no rain in KL. On the way back, dropped by at Melaka and it rained the entire day, traffic was almost at stand still in the city. I'm just wondering, it there a better way to go right into the Melaka city without going through that damn slow traffic from Ayer Keroh? It is like a mini custom where they will open up your bags to ensure no water in your water bottles. You either drink it finish right on the spot or deposit them. However, you can go inside the park to fill up with the water cooler. So what is the rationale then? You will be issued with a wristband. Have to 1st pay RM10 as deposit on top of your ticket. On the way out, either claim back the RM10 or exchange for a Sunlagoon watch. Regards,
