Horrible Experience with NTUC Income and Workshops

My car is hit from the rear. Damage assessment claim part of the damage is not caused by the impact. Workshop happily claim $2.3k for just a bumper and hatch door panel repair at their very best interest (Initial quotation is $350 for the bumper when both party agreed on private settlement). Tell me the rest cannot claim, push me to Insurance company.

After days of "We will get the claim officer to get back to you", NTUC Income friendly customer officer finally get back to me. The respond was, "... get the workshop to settle the issue"

How nice, all just because the damn workshop had already get my dad (who doesn't know anything about the damages, tell him all repairs are done) to sign the discharge voucher, when I refuse to sign the day before as they are unable to provide me with a proper breakdown of the repair.

Anyone had been in the same situation before? How you deal with it? LL suck thumb?

In the end, everyone suffer and pays high loading.

The only winner are the workshops who apparently depends on insurance claims to boost their business.

actually i think workshop earn for main bulk of their profit from these. but the eventual winner is the folks represent winner. win or lose, they still earn more.

IDAC is clearly a concept that didnt work out.

IDAC is a waste of time and stupid concept.

You send to IDAC for assessment only to be disputed by the insurance company later. Left hand ask you to go....right hand ask you go and die. They are both the god and devil.

Then this stupid method dun work...how ? Increase premium and let the policy holders pay for their mistake lor.

dischage doc is to indicate u receive the car in good order. the claim is between the insr and workshop to settle.

why u need the breakdown, why end yr selv dispute with them? the best we can do is to provide edvident and do proper statement recoding to support your claims. if they provide you details, what u want to do? ala crate the repair items?

Ins is smelly wan, the next year they gonna to load u higher, regardless the claims amount...
