CTE Tunnel Jam towards Chin Swee on morning of 6th November 2008

Anyone was there this morning around 7.15 am?

 

Accident was terrible. 2 motorbikes were overturned and lying on the ground. One of the bikes had its seats came off. Traffic Police was there to direct the traffic.

 

Blocked all the lanes of the tunnel road except the overtaking lane.

 

So early in the morning. Drive/ride so fast.

when i past by around 7.30, jam until the place then clear quite fast liao ... was expecting to see the vehicles but none were there except the TP & tow truck ... hope no one was seriously injured ...

No car involved?

 

Never see pure motorbike accident before. Usually it involves a bigger vehicle.

 

Guessing: Maybe speeding, one bike skidded and hit the other.

Bike vs Bike accident can be easily seen on KJE towards JB.

Especially during peak hours...

Ever witness one accident just seconds after it occurred.

Saw two riders lying on the floor motionless, no obvious injuries, thought just knock out...

2~3 hours later coming back from JB, pass by the area...

I was there about 7.10-7.15 am. Very jam but traffic was slow moving.

 

Some vehicles had tried to exit off Havelock Road......

Maybe bike to bike lah. Cos I did not see any vehicle.

 

TP Investigator was there and taking measurements of the bikes and the road measurements.

 

If there was vehicle involved, it would also have to be there.

 

As the bikes were not moved and in the fallen position, I presume the accident must be very serious.

only left the tow truck and police bike at the shoulder

 

no jam at all

2~3 hours very suspicious meh?

Nowadays with casueway traffic greatly improve, can easily clear both ways with 15mins...

2~3 hours can do alot of things... shopping, makan, petrol...

U ever been to JB these past few months?

too many vehicles on the road coupled with a hyper stressful lifestyle

 

not a good combo
