Putty is not the problem. Before you paint, you need to sand down, roughen the surface.

Apply primer, then the final coat.

Without the preparation of sanding down and the primer, the paint won't stick well.

Which is why sometime later it bubbles as it tries to break free and leave the surface.

I diy my own bumper paint and it remains ok for years, with proper preparation of coz.

Then I bought a 2nd rim, and the paint start flaking off within a few months.. unsure.gif

my car also like yours. Something like a small tiny dot with depression. Its all over the car. [:|]

I cant afford the time to release the car for re-spraying. So LPPL just do polishing with sealant @ Jbee every few mths to minimize the effect. [:/]

No cure for it rah, have to respray again.

bubble is attributed from the impurity underneath the new coat.. This is the result of poor preparation work..

suggest that u go back to them, the most u expect them to do localise touchup. and usually it surface up only few months down the road...so quite diff to argue with them.

Respray whole car lor. i think the rate is about $800 for same colour.

Few mths back i got a quote for Lexus White quoted 1.6k. Now waiting for wify's overseas trip then i send in for respraying. Wify needs the car for work everyday, i dont need.
