Knht Neutral Newbie November 6, 2008 Share November 6, 2008 Quote Hazards should not be used unless you are stationary, period! If you drive with hazards on in bad weather, nobody will be able to tell whether you are going to change lane! well said. But i am just curious, why in Singapore the motorists (especially cab drivers) have a habit to switch on hazard light when they are pulling over and prepare to stop? ↡ Advertisement
Beehive3783 Turbocharged November 6, 2008 Share November 6, 2008 You do know that most cars don't have rear fog lamps right? So other than the rear light, the only other thing is the hazard lights.. not that I'm saying it's right to use hazard lights in bad visibility. Qpik Supercharged November 6, 2008 Share November 6, 2008 Quote Hazards should not be used unless you are stationary, period! If you drive with hazards on in bad weather, nobody will be able to tell whether you are going to change lane! If you switch hazards on during bad weather, what are you trying to say to other motorists? That its raining heavily and you may not see me? Well, use your fogs for that purpose...that's what they are for. Indicators are for indicating direction! not all cars come with FOG lights.... Eyke Supercharged November 7, 2008 Share November 7, 2008 no fog lights doesn't mean you should use your hazard lights in their place turn on your hazard lights only when you are a hazard, eg. stopping where you are not supposed to.

Neoxenon Neutral Newbie November 7, 2008 Share November 7, 2008 How about those morons who drive with only their powerful fog lights on and their headlights off? Looks very powerful and fierce coming up in your rear view mirror... But I agree... the worse ones are the culprits who drive with their rear fog lights on... I wonder if they even know they are doing it...
Qpik Supercharged November 7, 2008 Share November 7, 2008 i am not advocating hazzard lights shd be used in placed of fog lights. i'm just bringg up the point that not all cars are fitted with fog lights. as for after-market installatn, i am not sure whether it is LTA approved or not so i shall refrain on commenting on it. personally, i feel that the owners who change their car lights shd ensure that it served it's safety objectives instead of blinding others. i can't help but agree with you that drivers/forummers might be lacking more than brain. Lokech34 Clutched November 7, 2008 Share November 7, 2008 Ya and I agreed with you that it is very disturbing to see the fog light is ON even during the fine day. What do they want to show us that their cars come with fog lights or they want to make sure they are working. Can the authority get rid of them who uses the fog light during the wrong timing. ↡ Advertisement
