Tanlc Neutral Newbie November 3, 2008 Share November 3, 2008 Hi, Times are bad nowadays and just thinking it is worthwhile to get all the servicing parts, like engine oil, spark plugs, transmission fluid, etc to the specific car workshop which I just pay for labor cost for changing. If so, what are servicing parts to be purchased and where can get them cheap? Also, any car workshop that just provide labor? ↡ Advertisement

Yuan 6th Gear November 4, 2008 Share November 4, 2008 You can buy the original parts from the distributor/supplier of your car make (otherwise known as "stockist"). Not sure about your car make so can only help you till here.

Picanto 3rd Gear November 4, 2008 Share November 4, 2008 I understand from workshops that prices might be a little higher if u bring your own parts to workshop to do servicing. Apparently I approach a number of workshops and they told me so. then avoid those WS that impose a surcharge or penalty. plenty of WS in singpore. no worries. that riverview auto is one such shop that impose penalty. OeteM 1st Gear November 4, 2008 Share November 4, 2008 I am also driving a 2006 honda Fit. Going for 80k servicing. Any good workshop to recommend that can allow me to bring my own parts and only charge me labour? I think 80k is like 40k servicing, need to change and check many parts. Last time 40k, went to Riverview, penalty for bring own engine oil. In the end, use their engine oil and total bill $300++. :( Think this time, need to look for other workshops that just charge labour. Btw, do those stockist automatically know what are the items that we need to buy for 80k servicing or do we need to tell them the type of items that we need to buy? ↡ Advertisement
