Mondeo Mk II & III - issues

Have recently purchased a Mondeo Mk III and would like to know more of the issues, if any, you have encountered during your ownership.

My previous ride was Ford Focus and it's manual. What I heard from my friend (ex-senior SE, with Regent for more than 25yrs), that the reason they give 5yrs warranty (actually you already paid up front) is that they encounter lots of Auto Tranny issues when it pass the 3rd year I am not sure if the latest model have this problem or not

I guess the auto tranny is not suitable for our temperature/humidity and start-stop traffic. It even comes with ATF cooler from the factory

Pardon my ignorance...how does the ATF looks like(condenser coil??) and possibly, where will be located...

My cousin have some problem with the last generation of Focus whereby the ignation coil pack was replaced under warranty just before the 5 years mark

Skoda was BER by wifey, not too sure about the trusty... and the Mondeo was a deal I cannot refused...thanks to the present situation for some.
