Gigacrusher Neutral Newbie November 2, 2008 Share November 2, 2008 Hi all, I have recently noticed that my starter seem to take longer to start up my engine after 3 years of use and while this is no surprise in itself, what scares me is at times, the starter just crank and stop dead even when the key still remains in turned position. Anything wrong here and would appreciate advice on what needs to be changed. Many thanks! GC ↡ Advertisement
Redlavita Neutral Newbie November 2, 2008 Share November 2, 2008 you might want to check your battery, i had the same experience recently, i suspected the starter motor too, cos the battery didn't went flat, i was able to crank, but couldn't start, waited half an hour, tried again, same result. turned out to be the battery died on me after 18 months of use. changed to new battery and problem solved.. Maverickchua Neutral Newbie November 2, 2008 Share November 2, 2008 i have the same problem but it is always after I have drive for 40 mins. When I restart again, its kind of difficult. I crank up the starter key, it went dead. I rest for a while and start again, then its ok. At first i suspect that the battery might have problem, but when i do the every 10K servicing and I ask the technican to check, it was ok. I am still puzzle what is the root cause.
