I think nowadays any jap/korean car that is at least 1.5L in engine capacity can hit speeds of 180km/hr in a straight line dash.

But then...stability is another issue [sweatdrop]

Done 180km/hr on my CL7A, then speed limit cut comes in and that is all.

So my top speed is 180km/hr but the car does reach this speed quite fast and I think there are much more room to go more. (the speedometer just keeps on going without slowing down at all till reached 180km/hr). Car still very stable though the road noise already sipped into my quiet car.

Hello!

So, what's the HIGHEST SPEED you've ever driven using the car you OWN?

I'd be glad if someone can share his car rated top-speed vs the actual highest speed ever achieved on his car?

My car's a Hafei Minz and its top speed is 110km/h. Over the weekend, I took a couple of friends to Johor for a yummy dinner. I travelled on the Malaysian highway for the first time via the 2nd Link. Guess what, I pushed my Minz to close to 130 km/h (can't read that clearly due to the car shaking)! Phew! It was such an astounding feat for me! But I need quite a long stretch of highway to do that and I dare not push it any further as the car got rather shaky.

Please share your experience.

Thanks.

I have not pushed my Fit yet coz I have not yet the chance to go NSH.... but so far on sg highway, ard 130km/h [thumbsdown]

Cleared Meter! LOL! This is the first time I hear this term... and it's darn funny! Cheers bro! [thumbsup]

pst... how much is the Gen2 meter bro?

Really this is the 1st time u hear this term? [confused] Hmm, guess only used more often for bikers then. [:p]

Anyway, my meter is 200km/h la. 1.3L niah... The needle reached 200km/h at 5,500rpm. Revved further to 6000rpm but needle already stuck at that position, cannot move further. [smallcry] I nid RSM!!!

Gen2 doing 200? That's so bull man!!! I don't believe a Malaysian made car can do that.

170km/- 200km/h is stressful driving.

Anything above 200km/h is extremely stressful driving. Unless there's a really empty stretch, I wouldn't wanna attempt this.... on NSHWY, lorries, coaches and some very slow moving vehicles will just come out onto the outer lane w/o warning or consideration of the approaching rear vehicles. Then must brake like hell just to avoid a collision.

Actually, high speed is not addictive (as mentioned, it is stressful driving).... once you've done your threshold, you'd rarely want to do it again, unless there's something done to the car and one wants to test it out. (Of course racing is a different thing altogether)

previous auto vios, 180km/h....

current auto latio, 175km/h.... or maybe ever hit 180km/h before......

(latio is harder and slower to hit above 170km/h than vios...but latio for sure not as noisy as vios at that speed...)

all this on NSHW....

seems both car also hit the speed limiter speed... all stock with no mod to engine....only "mod" is sport rim.... [laugh]

Hahaha! You are right! It's cheap thrill but I just gotta try it. My passengers faces were pale. They keep asking me to slow down. Hahaha! I just wanna know what my car can do. And I guess 130 km/h is the limit! [:/] Going +20 km/h above the rated speed is quite dangerous! Hahaha!

it will not be cheap thrill if accident happens. if you wanna try top speed, don't do it with your friends, they got their own families too unless you are willing to answer for them.

Guess you haven't seen what modded cars can achieve. What's inside can be totally different from stock.

Can you imagine a Satria doing 9 secs for the quarter mile sprint.....
