Hi,

did you buy a 2nd hand speedo meter online but the mileage is calibrated to be in miles instead of km?

the speedo calibration shld stay as it is, u just have to mark out and calibrate manually the proportionality between 0 - 140mph and 0 - 240km/h.

for the mileage calibration, you can read up your car's reference manual. if i remember correctly, its either you remove or add a gear to compensate the miles to km conversion.

Thinking of the possibility of changing to a different face plate.

Where the starting mark is different.

Why Do you want to do that? Is it because of fixing or changing engine?

For me i change the plate of the numbers. With supercharger my top speed can go beyond 160 so I have to change that.

Supercharger? [sweatdrop]

Bro, changing the plate don't make your speedo limit go higher leh...

Did I misunderstand what you trying to say?

Putting a 300km/hr at the 20km/hr mark just do make me hit 300km/hr within 1 sec.

with supercharger then can go beyond 160? lol..i think the old na engines in the starlets can clear the speedometer with or without any form of force induction.

what rubbish u spew.

without toy electric fan like urs, my 1086cc korean car can already exceed 160. i logged 164 on my GPS. the speedo read above 170km/h.

the 1.6 version of my ride can go above 190, if not 200, when stock.

so i think u need a REAL supercharger. better save up more money my boy!

bro... so much trouble for a cosmetic mod that nobody can see?

anyway GPS speed is not 100% accurate. it doesn't account for 3-dimensional variables. it measures your "horizontal speed", but roads are never 100% flat, and GPS doesn't take that into account.

but i guess it's the closest you can get unless you get it electronically calibrated.
