The taxi SHB9xx6K was on right lane. He signalled and switched over my lane, without giving me enough time to react, thus i had to take evasion action by braking hard. I gave a horn and immediately he stepped on the brakes even harder, causing me to jam my brakes in order not to hit him.

When approached the traffic light in front, i switch lane and stop beside him. He gave me a unpleasant gesture to show his displeased. I winded down my window and ask what's his problem when he mentioned that he had already signalled and that it was my fault for not giving way to him. Does it mean that when someone signal and change lane, people will have to give way to him no matter what, or that he owns the road. He even said that he is only driving a taxi, don't mess with him. Does it again mean that taxi drivers owns the road, and they can switch lane whenever they like?

He even told me to complain if i am not appy for his action, which i am doing now.

Already feedback to the company n LTA, where else can i complain, to teach this errant driver a lesson.

Write to the company, which i did. you will receive their standard reply:

"We have counseled the driver concerned and reminded him to exercise his safety driving habits..blah blah etc etc."

No accident, no injury, no video, nothing. What will LTA and TP do? Your words against his word.

Juz let it go. Everyday you meet this kind of taxi driver. Just point middle finger at him and curse him under your breath then move on.

on way back home early this evening, I was near Chinatown was waiting for the traffic light to turn green when suddenly beside me a maroon Kangoo stopped, and a merc taxi stopped behind it. Then the Kangoo driver got out and rushed to the door of the taxi and began screaming hokkien expletives at the taxi driver. The taxi driver began gesticulating wildly and trying to explain his point, but did not open the door and only rolled down the window an inch or so.

After a minute or so, the Kangoo driver had vented his frustration and went back to his car, turning back to glare at the cabbie.

Just another day on the road with taxi drivers.... [shakehead]

Bro FCW75 is right, your words against his words. unless you have a 3rd party as witness and you have to file a civil suit against him. Pointless.

Just email to his company and file a complain and you will get their standard reply as i mention earlier on. Its useless but at least I feel better.

You can also kpkb by unleashing yourself to a nice sumptuous meal with your family or yourself at good old hawker centre.

Life is short. Why bother about such people? [laugh]
