Mods to improve my QQ

Hi guys,

My QQ is currently stock. Yeah, it's a zippy ride but I want more. It's zippy but still those 1.6TS and Sunny and Getz and Vios etc etc still yards and yards ahead of me at the traffic light start offs.

Got any recommendations to make my car go faster? I tried to look for air filters as the first resort but they don't have the correct one for the QQ.

Reason being so is because their engine capacity already twice yours. No replacement for displacement dude. If you really wanted more, you shouldn't get a 812cc car in the first place. Cos even if you mod, there is still limitations to your engine.

if u really think your qq is zippy enough to keep up with vios or sunny then when u sit in the latter, i think you will pass out from the tremendous G forces.

 

even if these cars give you 20m headstart at traffic lights, u still can't out run them.

yes. but a 800cc engine will always be a 800cc engine. no matter what mods you do with your engine stock, you will be merely shifting the power band.

 

unless you lup turbo, which is illegal and given QQ engine stock internals, you probably be running on minimal boost or u have to change all engine internals, which won't justify the price of ur QQ.

I think Lucas has already answered you. Its not going to make much diff and not worth the $, stock 1.6 can still tear you easily.

Welcome to the club. It's inevitable people will laugh at you for driving a Chery BECAUSE THEY ARE PREJUDICED AND ENVIOUS! Some here don't even own a car! But hey, big brother DK is here to give you some pointers! But stick hard to this forum, they have really smart and helpful guys here that you can really learn a lot from! What would you do if people start pointing fingers at your car, laughing at your MIC car (be it a Chery, Geely.... etc)?

 

 

Here are some ways to cope with these stressors:-

 

(1) Pretend that you don't see it and focus on driving safely.

(2) Consider it a privilege that they take notice of your car.

(3) Wonder if they have the guts to drive a MIC car.

(4) Count your blessings to be able to own a set of wheels in SG, as cars are expensive.

(5) MIC car buyers are smart consumers, as it is pointless to drive expensive cars since car values depreciate quickly.

eh one thing really good abt the QQ. the fog lights are really really really bright

 

hope that guy i saw yesterday gets fine by TP/LTA someday for misusing his fog lights. no complaints if he deploys them during rain. but not during clear weather

Please ignore all the rest who are trying to disturb you. Glad you have interest in modifications

 

First of all, it will be very difficult to match a 1.6Litre car performance. Given the small engine capacity, maybe you will just gain 4-5hp. This will be far off of the Getz and VIOS still. However, if you just want a little gain maybe the basic I/H/E mods will do.

 

However for a QQ, it will be hard to find aftermarket parts. Most likely, you might need to customised parts for you. If you are willing to spend money, it will not be an issue.

i dun see any after market parts for chery cars wor.. maybe enjoy your ride in stock and change ICE instead of performance. you are the one driving so advise is to leave stock. as i mod my 1.6 till can stand it, now give up. unless i turning into dark side hardcore.

Actually, IMO, as long as the air con is working, it doesnt leaked during raining, and the car can move and not break down in the middle of the road... I think it is already a blessing.
