Nope, I dun see the need for the screen protector as unlike our HP, it's not as prone to frequent contacts with foreign objects e.g. keys, coins in pocket etc.

Think U should get a screen protector to protect the LCD from being scratched/damaged. [nod]

Your heart will sure feel very pain if that happens. [furious]

Price of the screen protector is pretty insignificant to your JVC so just go for it.

Price can range from $4+ for those non-durable to $30+ for those high end re-washable Martin Fields type.

U can try getting it from DOML but they don't appear to have your model from their website. The protector for Alpine W502 may fit since both are 7" screens.

But best to check with the DOML staff.

Or u can get it from Ebay like what I did for my W502. It's cheaper than Martin Fields after factoring in shipping cost and currency conversion and they do have the

exact dimension for your JVC (Do a store search).

The quality is quite decent after applying it on. [thumbsup]

The DVD screen should already come with a layer of plastic protector for the touch screen. Personally, I find it un-necessary to have a screen protector for the HU because what are the chances you will scratch through the exising plastic. It's not like your handphone where you risk dropping, have it lying all over the place, put them together with keys, etc. HU? you don't even touch the screen that many times a day and it stays put in the car.
