hmmm..how is hypertension related to driving long distance?

if you're worried, then just take 10-15min rest after every 2hrs of driving..

i do that everytime i drive long distance up north.. [nod]

just dun climb too high too fast. same theory as wen u go genting highlands too.

and it not only affects ppl wif hypertension. ppl wif existing heart problems and even normal healthy humans also gotta watch out for signs.

one very obvious sign:

rapid heartbeats (which u normally do not have). can be >120bpm.

symptoms should subside once u r acclimatized.

oh yeah, consult ur doc b4 going. he/she might prescribed meds for you.

I don't think you will have a problem at all. My FIL's hypertension is rather bad...and hhe did alright. no problem at all. Just plenty of rest before he hit the road and take many break as he he way.

why not just ask a doctor than get opinion from non-profession folks like us who are just offering non scientific suggestions... wink.gif

anyways from my unprofessional point of view i really see no reason that the altitude pf cammeron highland will be much problem for ur hypertension... just take things easy there... more likely to be higher risk at Genting cos of the casino threre, gamble untill too excited may be dangerous tongue.gif

should not be problem unless you are other associated conditions such as diabetes

in fact the medication and dose that you are on is fairly low so the chance for you getting a malignant hypertension is highly unlikely

Cameron Highland is low

if you are worried you should be asking your doctor and not guys in this forum who does not have a MBBS degree

when I was in Nepal hiking the mountains I had to take Diamox for attitude sickness
