hmmm.. i wonder how does one maintain a push button... put grease? [laugh]

It's a bit silly to ask actually. It's like asking how does one maintain the button of your hazard lights or radio.

Its not known to fail actually.

Now i am more confused... Jazz or swift... Also... Will the engine start button last for 10 yrs? Initially was looking at the jazz 1.3 cos it uses key start

jazz cvt gearbox gives you a boring drive but you get the space.

swift is torquey and fun drive but you sacrifice the space.

Suzuki should be a fuss free car to drive and maintain. The previous gen swift sport which I’m currently driving to be honest is a little noisy but as time goes by u will get used to it.

The new swift has a much useable boot compared to the previous gen. Built quality should have improved too

I’m just glad I have a car to go to daily without the fear of it not starting or when is the next trip to the workshop for repairs.

Went to see the swift last Sunday. The front seats were very huggy and sporty. Would had chosen it if the rear seats were more spacious...decided on the jazz eventually as space was more important. Both cars are good buy and well built

this is so true, everytime my backside itchy wanna change car and i read up on threads for other cars. all i see are ppl complaining about issues such as lags/gearbox/blahblah.

the only complaints for swift is the damn rattling sound which everyone will get used to after a while. performance and reliability wise = no complaints.

no point buying a car and having to spend more time fixing/leaving in workshop then it being a workhorse.

clocking almost 25k after 1.5 years and still a reliable workhorse. *touchwood*

Hi, any new swift owners out there?

I collected my car 2 weeks ago, I can't remember the guy at the delivery centre told me this new car pump at least 95 or 98, do you all remember? Thanks!

On long highway runs I did over the weekend, the car managed to get to 17.2km/L (average over 400km) which is near the official FC figures. For me that's impressive for this torquey tyke. Still cannot reach the numbers I used to get on my old FD3 Civic hybrid from 2007 though.

Nice update. The past Swift's FC has been good to average, I think this time they really had a breakthrough...

I discovered that one of my wife's aunty bought the Swift too. She took delivery of a red one.

Hope to see more on the roads..

Hi, I just recently booked the standard Swift package, just wanted to check if I were to install a New HU from elsewhere will I void the warranty of the car?

Still don’t understand why such questions are asked here. No one here can ever say anything to carry any weight except authorized personnel from champion motors.

Suggest you ask them directly.

Hi All,

Was intending to get the new swift (1.0cc) as I used to own the previous older model Suzuki swift 1.5 and truly enjoyed it.

However, chanced upon the honda fit hybrid (1.5cc) and now I am contemplating between the two. Anyone here is able to comment on both cars’ performance/ acceleration or anything I should be aware of? Will the performance be similar since one is 1.5cc and the other 1cc but with turbo? Of course, the FC for the hybrid is about 2 times that of the swift.

Any comments/ opinion will be appreciated. Thank you.

But circumstances quite different now since Swift price dropped close to 10k with removal of VES surcharge. So it was kinda easier for me to make the choice of getting the Fit.

Hey there, I was in the exact same situation a couple months ago!

I had the old Swift 1.5 for about a year too and I really liked it, and that was why I wanted to get the new Swift.
Test drove it, really powerful/responsive and nice to drive! But the Fit is no slack too, with the 1.5 engine, it has rather substantial power.

So far my FC for the Fit is about 26km/L, so I guess cost wise will more than balance out over the years.
I guess it comes down to whether you would prefer the space in the Fit, or the look/feel of the Swift.
Either is a great choice, but although the Swift is sweet, I have had no regrets getting the Fit. Hope this helped and all the best!
