The normal swift price dropped from $79.9k to $69.9k?? Can someone fill me in why in recent weeks, many model with VES suddenly just become neutral? Then some neutral become $10k rebate all of sudden?? I smell something fishy going on. Either LTA not consistent in their testing of VES or some underhand collusion between parties to adjust the VES to their liking??

When car prices drop, you always try to think of some conspiracy theory? Are you ok?

VES kicked in at the start of 2018. In July, LTA added another pollutant particulate into VES test. Cars which are brought in after July were clearly banded accordingly. Prices are fixed following the banding, but fluctuate with COE trend plus miscellaneous cost of dealer.

Put yourself in the shoe of a new swift buyer who bought 2 weeks ago and today the price dropped 10k cos VES is removed. So were the swifts bought before the drop have a different engine/exhaust emission compared to the one bought today?? If not, why the discrepancy? Or did dealer absorb the VES?

I believed there is some sort of moderation going on as you as see the trend is more luxurious brands get neutral bands (due to better tech?) While many b&b brands got surcharge(tune for regional standards).

Anyway this is good news for Champion motors. Hope to see more swift's on the road.

Yah I also received watsapp from SE that prices drop $5k. Standard model now $69900.

Looks tempting..

Why never drop 10k since no VES surcharge? [laugh]

Suck thumb la. Vios list price 84k 2 months ago then sudden drop to 69k for a weekend.

Are you gonna go bang on borneo doors if you had bought at 84k?

If Frankie is still in CM I'd recommend him as he is my SE when i bought my swift, humble honest SE. Too bad he left.

You can try Henry, an old bird in CM same as Frankie. Had good experience with him too although didnt managed to buy from him.

Any zc32s owners here? Might wanna get one. Would like to hear some views about it. Thanks!

WUT?? Definitely not as quick as your GTI dude...lol

But seriously its a good manual fun as a 2nd car as the boot of the 32 too small, robbed by the twin exhaust. The 33 fixed that problem though with a clever twin exhaust design..

My gti sold off liao. Conti really not easy to maintain. I always thought the dsg is a nightmare waiting to happen but suprisingly something else gave way earlier instead. Lol

I test driven the zc32s manual. Quite an interesting car. Small boot yeah..much like he zc31s. As for the 33, no money lah. CM may not be much cheaper then GR also.

Just need a easy to maintain car with a little fun for transport haha
