wow! It has been a really really long time since I visited this place. By the way, I am hoppe (the moderator of this Suzuki forum) but somehow I lost my password and couldn't retrieve it. Also I may have changed my email over the past few years so I couldn't receive any emails to reset the password.

I wanna say that I feel really sad after reading this post which was started by me in 2007 when I bought my Swift. Tomorrow will be the last day which I will be driving my blue friend before I get my new Honda Vezel this Saturday.

Times do fly. I remembered the meet-up with members in this forum driving our really old swifts back in 2006.

I wonder if all my Swift buddies are still around after 8-10 years. It has been a really long long time.

To other moderators of Mycarforum, I would like to re-activate my ID (Hoppe). If there is any way to do so pls find a way to contact me. Or is there a way that I can contact anyone. [blush]

Hi, original Suzuki O2 sensor is around S$300 a piece. Maybe you can consider Japan OEM O2 sensor as well at S$260 a piece.

Neutral Newbie

Hi guys, just took over a Suzuki swift sport 1.6M 2009. Mileage is 105000

aft i took over, i realize there is a griding sound below at the lower carriage front part of the car.

Went over n bring it to a mech (my 1st time meeting him) and he changed my Absorber mounting, Engine mounting and stab bar bush.

Problem was solved, no more grinding sound.

But i noticed that the car was very very bouncy on the xpressway and when i reached home, i noticed that the ground clearance for the front bumper is much lower than before he changed everything.

so i went back to the workshop and ask if they can adjust the absorber higher. he said that its wear and tear and i need to change both of my left and right absorber.

What do you guys think? is there any1 here who is experienced enuff to advice me on what to do? or any honest reliable mechanics to introduce?

Thank you in advance!!

Hi guys,

Just gotten a preloved 1.5a Swift and realized that the vibration in car is quite strong when idling. Any possible issues ? Or can I just leave it?

Which year is the car? Probably the engine mount is hardened after so many years, do get it changed. Whole set will set you back about 200.. Edited by Pocus

Hey bro...I'm still here and active.

Its been long time. Just scrapped my car last year. Its was a trouble free 10 years and I dare say the Suzy, although not as refined as bigger brands, managed to stay consistently reliable throughout its 10 yrs and 220k mileage.

Apart from a faulty ignition coil, I practically didn't replace any major parts, unlike my Mitsubishi got air con spoil, maf spoil and blah! Its a testimony to Suzuki tough no frills built quality.

It was a blast to own one and who knows, my next car might be a Suzuki again!

Omg!!!!

Didnt see this coming.... I know lawrence was getting old and did talk about renting his shop space out and retiring the last time i saw him...

He also another millionaire lor... with the shop space that he owns..(i think)

So which stockist to go to now for swift parts? This does put a dent on whether one should extend COE for the swift nearing the end of its life now.

Is Popular motor at Race Course road still there?

Ya lor, I didn't see it coming too. I went one day and was shocked that the shop no longer there.

U own a swift too bro? Was thinking of renewing the COE for the Swift.

I went to Popular Motor in the end. They are now at 91 Owen Road.

Thanks for sharing on popular motor new location. Guess they are our source for parts now.

Renew Coe? I am thinking too!

Forfeit Abt $6k omv that will get back, Coe Abt $5k per year. Each one has to do the sums.
