Recommendation components speakers for my getz.

hi, i will be getting a components speakers to replace my stock speakers for my getz at Sim Lim Tower.. Budget not more than $200.. Any brands to recommend?

cause $200 wont get you very far for component speakers....

 

i just did some research on-line and found afew people selling in e-bay with low price..

 

But the ones i looking at were LOCAL sellers. Overseas one dont say all very cheap but the shipping will kill you.

as for coaxial speakers got alot of cheap ones in ebay go take a look ba...

 

btw, i dont know any one of them. i was just thinking of changing my stock speakers also, but stopped after thinking i only listen radio no need good speakers.. lol

if u are on budget, you can try getting 2nd hand ones. I got mine for 80 bucks 2nd hand lanzar components, which i think outside is around 200+?

 

I got it installed outside together with my sub-woof, labour + basic wiring for 150 bucks.

 

Hotstuff magazine does have some basic component speakers with installation - maybe u can consider those. Good for pocket.

Alphsonik , not bad.. or get CDT CL 61..

if not get CDT Cl 62 or rainbow from local installer.. shld be less than $300

Based on budget, it a too little as u would need to do soundproofing as well.

i research before and people say that Alphsonik speaker easily blow and spoilt..

actually since u are willing to come out with $200, why not top up abit more to get the rainbow ?? rainbow slx 265 (non deluxe ) shld set u back at most $280...

some also recommend alpine type S .. focal.. CDT

 

u have to listen to urself.. because different speakers have different characteristics..

 

u have to listen and choose the one u like.. maybe u can tell the installer ur budget and they can recommend the speakers to u or u may join the ICE meetup and listen to other ppl setup..

 

i would suggest u visit shops like carsound , chuan Sing or Audio Edge

to listen to their demo speakers.. but do note that the head unit play a part too.

The key is to get speakers that matches your current HU well.. getting speakers that are too revealing or difficult to drive is gonna spark u on an upgrade path to add power amps, replace HU etc.. then your budget will be gone case..

most HU are at 4x50 watts now.. unless urs is ancient type..

 

all componeet shld sound better than the stock paper cone speakers..

 

blitz will be the cloest to ur budget... or get used component from sgsoundsystem..

The budget is pretty tight with $200 in order to search for components. Its likely you can get used ones at sgsoundsystem. If you are not too picky, why not consider coaxials? Good quality coaxials can still produce a decent sound over stock speakers.

Correction, they are 4 x 50w max, meaning only 22-25w rms at most. Speakers are usually rated above 50w rms. So in order to get a pair that can be driven well by the tiny 25w rms from the HU, look for speakers that have high sensitivity, >90dB.

I think Hyundai Getz sound proofing isnt very good. Will definately need to spend on sound proofing first. I am driving a getz too!
