Smelly tofu

anyone know where to get this in JB or even up to KL?

 

i am sick of the only smelly tofu in geylang, if anyone know where to eat smelly tofu or place that sell... please tell me the road name or gps cond, thanks.

In sg the one in Geylang is the only fermented beandcurd stall. U can get the recipe online. And maybe open a 2nd fermented beandcurd stall in sg.

If i remember correctly, the taiwanese restuarant below Topone ktv (opposite Bugis Junction) has smelly tofu on their menu. Never tried though.

Don't tell me it's mala steamboat. the other side already have at least 5 shops selling exactly the same mala steamboat.

Make yourself lah. Easy.

 

Get some tofu. Put some starter culture and let the bugs go at it.

 

Then when you whole family cannot stand the smell of the stuff, deep fry in hot oil.

 

The French the same style too. Except it is deep fried smelly cheese. In this case the cheese is Camembert. Crispy outside, soft and mushy inside. Mmmmm...... deep fried cheese.

FOUND!!!

 

There's an eatery with red sign board selling smelly tofu at Joo Chiat Rd (the East Coast Rd end, not the Changi Rd end. ie, opposite Katong Mall, near Joo Chiat CC).

 

Don't know the exact address as i only drove pass and saw the big big "Chou Dou Fu" sign board outside the shop. Hope it helps. Pls give review after trying :)
