Eurocar Neutral Newbie October 10, 2008 Share October 10, 2008 i have been thinking abt this too. logistics, services etc all increase price, citing petrol (travelling cost) as the main reason. now drop price, but they still stay the same.

Angdao Neutral Newbie October 10, 2008 Share October 10, 2008 lol, that's why i bought into transport shares~ their profit will only go up~ oil price increase, they increase fares. Oil price decreases, they become selective memory. Economic crisis come, fares remain the same, but more pple turn to public transport. Equals? Sterling result every quarter even though every industries are being hit badly~ Shares of these public transport companies pretty defensive huh? lol. Sbnp Neutral Newbie October 10, 2008 Share October 10, 2008 Dear Metalbone, how I wish you are very right. Fyi, when crude oil was at USD 30-40, the charges was about 0.14/kwh. Now, based on USD 150, they are charging about 0.3/kwh. You ask me, I think next quarter charges will be more like 0.25/kwh, based on USD 80. Just my 2 cents,

Sbnp Neutral Newbie October 10, 2008 Share October 10, 2008 Yah, but I think NG pricing is somewhat peg to crude oil. If crude oil goes up, it will also automatically goes up. Same for the pricing of palm oil, as it is also now used for bio-diesel. Come and think about it, damn unfair leh.
