Icekitten Clutched October 13, 2008 Share October 13, 2008 there are only a few Speed Cameras inside the tunnel, as long as you are at 70km/h when you are about to pass them it should be ok. You can spot them on both the top left and right side of the tunnel, on the left, there will be 2 grey square box facing the rear of the car and 1 directly on the right. If I am not wrong, the 1st one on the left is the camera then follow by the flash on both left and right side of the tunnel. I noticed that and was wondering....if the cam only faces the rear of the car then does it mean that it can only catch me speeding when or after I pass the camera? You know the traditional cameras are always facing oncoming traffic and supposedly they can capture cars speeding from a distance away already? TPs on OHB also usually stand facing oncoming traffic. Icekitten Clutched October 13, 2008 Share October 13, 2008 Cam on the road shoot the rear of the car? Jia lat I always thought it's facing. So that means when I pass a cam box the back contains the lens? Then what are the mirror and circle thingie that I see on the cams on my side of the road? I a bit blur now leh.... Vtim 3rd Gear October 13, 2008 Share October 13, 2008 yes, cam on the road will shoot from the rear, if you can see the Camera (at the bottom) and the Flash (looks like car head light at the top) before you pass it, that means it is "shooting" at the cars on the other side of the road
Icekitten Clutched October 13, 2008 Share October 13, 2008 Okay...I always wondered why the cam box is positioned such that it's tilted towards the other side of the road. Thought got some wide angle lens or what. Haha I so sua ku....drive for so long yet never even thought of this. So all the things about cam shoot you from a distance are only for handheld speedcams....
