We are in a technical recession and impending full blow depression

WHY WHY

must Singtel increase fixed line charges

it is not as if they are in the red

but just wanting to look good so to tell the world even in bad times Singtel can still make big profit

Isnt Singtel like Power supple

these are basic commodities

and not forgoting our Gahmen has a share

I just dont understand who the gahmen is trying to help the people in times of need

the simple answer or question

are we really asset of the country that should be respected and at least taken care of a bit

after all I gave so many years to National Service and Reservist

anybody got answer to help me sleep better

thanks

because they need to recoup their losses they incurred in the F1 ......

i have always been a happy SH customer..infact, i've been on SH since 2001..because that time, they offer significantly higher bandwidth than Singnet..

back in 2001, i am paying $56p/m for a downstream of 1 Mbps while singnet users pay the around same price for 128/256kbps..

but earlier this yr, i realised that snbb is offering 10Mbps(down), 1Mbps(Up) @ 45p/m..which is cheaper and better than my SH(8Mbps(down), 256kbps(up) @ $56p/m)

furthermore, SH speed is quite inconsistent..esp loading from video streaming sites like youtube..a 3 min video can take 10mins to download..

on snbb, the same 3 min video took 20secs max to download..

Unlike you, I am not a happy customer with Singnet. For the 6 years with them, never offer me any recontract and even when their plan has gone down to $36 for 512, they are still charging me $56 per month for 256.. Also their connection alway cut off suddenly..

So jump to Starhub 4 years ago.. No problem with speed.. except sometime at night between 9pm-1am.. Plus they send me a $200 phone voucher every year which i never use.. But i am starting to think they are getting a bit complacent nowaday..

Maybe they want me to use their mobile service with them also since I don't have any line with them.. I thought it is quite common??

Before your contract expired, you should receive a call from SingNet. If you declined, perhaps they won't bother you again, but you will pay the "non-subsidized" non-contract rate.
