Why was thread deleted without warning?

My thread in the motorsports section, titled the following was deleted without any warning. Are our moderators afraid of offending the pappies or are they emulating the way things are done?

 

From the looks of it, deleting one's thread without any caution or notification does show their autocratic way of doing things, much like our government.

This place is indeed getting from bad to worse. First, someone has to dictate the proper use of English, then threads that they deem will land them in trouble get deleted.

They too are public figures. If we can talk about other public figures openly, why not politicians so long it isn't about any political issues?

we do not want to have a thread talking unfavourably abt politicians and politics, which may lead to slandering or maligning issues. These rules already stated in the forum guidelines. Hope you understand.

I din follow that thread closely and so do not want to speculate too much...my take is, if the discussion in that thread is more on guessing why PM Lee made tat chilli and onion statements and nothing transpired into a political discussion, then there is no reason to delete that thread...but if let's say that thread involved discussions tat is becoming political and nothing to do with F1 and/or the chillies and oniions statement or accusations is being made on the character of PM Lee or something to tat effect, then I would say the moderators have a good reason to delete it..

it shd be more appropriate to be in lite and easy rather than motorsports in which you pointed out..

I posted that thread in Lite & Easy but it was moved to the Motorsports folder together with the rest of the F1 threads started during that period.

since it's more of a tcss thread and is not going to be of helpful as a reference, does it matter if the thread is still available?

 

While you think the Admin/Mod need to be more "democratic" in managing such thread, would it be fair to them to remove some threads to free up server space which they are paying?

 

 

If you think that deleted thread is of value, maybe you can pm the Admin to get it restored.

But PM Lee did indeed make that statement as reported in the papers...so thread title was just merely indicating him as the person who made tat quote...I feel as long as the discussion did not deviate from the onions and chillies thingy, it shld not be construed as offensive.
