Any place to recommend for timing belt change and how much?

Bro, if you wanna save some $$$, maybe can get the parts from stockist & then let the workshop do the rest for you

 

Since you are changing the timing belt, might also change the alternate belt, water pump & bearings at the same time as these items are normally changed at this interval

 

Should set you back about 100 plus for the labour i think

I agree with Mzrmazda. Labour is always the main cost for timing belt package change.

Cost abt 240 bucks basic timing belt package with change oil seals, bearings. This exclude the water pump which adds abt another 80 bucks or so.

for those parts, it is better to get the original from stockist. u may want to try meng ghee..they deal with mit part.

share with all bro. I got original timing belt at yew tee AND bearing for $55 + $26. friend in m'sia bring me to a JB workshop, charge RM60 labour. total is $100 a bit. Lancer engine is same as Waja engine, they very good in that.

Sorry to borrow your thread.

 

I just changed the timing belt at 90K (ride is CS3) and encounters loud "whirling" sound when flooring the accelerator pedal @ neutral gear.

Mechanics say it is due to faults on the wheel bearing (new one) so changed to a 2nd new one and also tighten the timing belt but still same "whirling" sound (not so loud this time).

 

The parts are changed using original Waja timing belt and wheel bearing in a Johor Workshop.

Anyone here knows which place in Singapore I can purchase the original bearing used by CS3 as I will like to bring this into the Workshop to get it replaced.

Timing belt (RM380+), Bearing(RM50+), coolant change(FOC) + labor (RM60+), RM490.

 

Trying not to overspend as I just forked out RM1850 yesterday (major service + 4 tyres change)
