Very early tis morning, while on the highway sending my kids to school...had a few heart-stopping moments when im required to make hard-brakings (which I did, of coz!)...but I realised the cars behind just came too close, too often. I had to do 'straddle-braking'..in order to warn them that I'm coming to a stop real soon. One Sunny even skidded to avoid kissin my arse! It wld be a sad episode shld the road be wet.... getting ur guys opinion, would getting those strobe-blinking 3rd brake-lights be good? Was told, if the brakes are depressed for 2sec or longer, the 3rd brake-light will flicker to get the attention of the driver behind... worth to get it fitted u think?

nah.. i think its more worth while to get everyone to upgrade their brakes n tires.. :D

my incident on sat more heart stopping.. the car just came out of no where n wallop the car by the side.. poor vios.. spun 180.. not much chance for avoidance maneuver..

Adephi Centre if you are into tube amps! Lol.

Can also try Sim Lim Square or Tower.

$700 budget? You looking for 5.1 systems including amp?

"good" is a very vague definition..

my friend does home theatre systems.. they've got a showroom at PS, and adelfi. i used to pop by n just sit in side his demo room.. enjoy some aircon and some boomastic effect.. [laugh]

at the end of the day, its not realistic for me to get any as i don have my own house.. plus.. $700 is probably only enough to get 2 good speakers.. and my pocket aint deep.. [knife]

The problem is, we do get good tyres and brakes for ourselves...but others wont, and these 'few others' are the ones tat will happily tailgate u... tats the worrying part.

yea.. imo, blinking strobe lights wont do much stopping them from kissing ur arse.. doesnt decrease their stopping distance in most instances..

soo.. just drive faster.. haha..

Hi Dunus

For the Alpine HU, all steering controls not affected ? where did you install it

Any connectivity to iphone/ipod ?

Hi Kelloggs

My Alpine 502 comes with full steering control as well as connectivities to iphone/ipod and USB(can be any memory card with USB).

So far, all things works and my stock speakers sound better, but this 502 HU does not support Chinese characters...

I did it in Pin Liang since they have done a few Alfas before so is not a problem. The labour charge is $100... [cool]

Useless because your issue has to do with the c**k drivers behind you who are dreaming... even if you shine a spotlight at them, I bet they don't even know till too late.

How is your average daily travel pattern like. Is it mostly city or highways?

Aroc members mentioned that for batteries in alfa to charge, the car has to be running at 2200 rpm consistently throughout for a considerable distance (ie. No stopping). On spore roads, that means highway with no jams

its a mixture of highway and city ba... maybe 60_40.

yup i usually travel 80 to 100, so rpm range is 2.5k to 3k thereabouts.
