Customizing Body Kits

Any bro with a good reliable workshop to recco for customising of bodykits? Current ride is a Nissan Sunny FL N16 and been trying to source for kit for my baby, seems most shops only have the standard lip and skirting combo. Any shop out there that does customised kits?

You may wanna check out D-Mix @ 1063 Eunos Ave 4. Did some customization there recently and also been patronizing them for the past 2 years. Good workmanship with attentive workers. They do have a pretty impressive portfolio for full customized cars as well.

Went there and met Kong already. He did mention that he can do some customised works for me but doesn't a picture to show to recco for me nor does he had any idea at present . But he did mention he will call me if he comes up with something but to date have not heard from him. haha

Haha that fella ah, u gotta chase him one, can't depend on him to call u. But I would recommend him due to his good service n workmanship, although sometimes he abit forgetful

 

Best is u go down and pen down what u want, discuss on the spot. Call also no use cause over phone cannot brainstorm any customization ideas one.

Hi, my ride was customised by Ah Kong (we call him Ah Guang in hanyu pinyin).

 

Yeah, he's quite busy and theirs is a small setup so he's pretty forgetful. But otherwise ok.

You see, Ah Kong's England is not very good so he is unable to publicise his business thru the net like what most other businesses are doing now. So some of his customers turned friends just try to help in a small way.

The inspiration for my kit actually came from something in the PSP NFS Carbon. From there we made further changes as we went along.

 

When I was at his place last week, I saw his workers replicating this Evo X rear bumper for a Lancer EX. Very nice. His worker told me I could see the real McCoy at Automobile Megamart 3rd floor. They've ever done an Evo X kit and look for the 1.6 Lancer CS3 too, even before the EX was launched in SG. All based on pictures.

 

Usually his customers will come in with a pic for him to replicate. I often see printouts taped to kits in his workshop that his workers are working on for his customers.

 

Price I'm afraid I can't help. You would have to look for him for a quote coz I think might vary depending on the kind of customisation & materials needed.

 

My advice is to go down and look for him personally rather than just discuss over the phone though. Maybe you can call him before you go down to make sure he'll be there. He can be quite forgetful at times and his tone can sometimes be mistaken by some as being gruffy over the phone, for those who don't know him. But if you see him in person you won't feel that way.

 

Btw, they have quite different opening hrs. They usually open ard 2-3pm to late at night, often past midnight.

Mine was several k....got to change a number of things to accommodate the widened body too.

 

The paint colour was customised at an SG workshop, then paint brought over to JB to be sprayed. Ah Kong drove my ride in to have it sprayed. Headlights were also sprayed there.
