Mona_lisa Neutral Newbie September 29, 2008 Share September 29, 2008 Over at the S'pore Flyer, there's a projection screen at the pavilion but find that the screen is kindof small. But the good thing is can see screen and track if u sit on the elevated areas.
Stary Turbocharged September 29, 2008 Share September 29, 2008 It is possible if you know where to walk. For example, someone told me he walk to the Bay grandstand and watch cars and screen there.
Rjmsfire Neutral Newbie September 29, 2008 Share September 29, 2008 Most of the video walls were located for the benefit of grandstand ticket holders. So now you know why those tickets are considerably more expensive than walkabout tickets. But credit must be given where it is due. The Malaysian GP is the only other GP I've been to and there are only 8 video walls, mostly sited far from the grandstands. The Singapore GP however has at least 19 video walls and they are all close to the grandstands, easy on the eyes. I was at Turn 7 too and was disappointed the Suntec video wall wasn't showing the F1 feed. Perhaps of technical issues they couldn't wire up that video wall to the F1 feed? Nephilim 1st Gear September 29, 2008 Author Share September 29, 2008 Interesting that Sepang's video walls are far from the grandstands. So who gets the privilege of viewing them up close? Those sitting at the hills? With regards to the Suntec video at Turn 7, I'm more inclined to think that it was due to Samsung 'chopping' that advertisement spot - looking at the same ad replayed over and over the whole night . It could have been such a great spectacle for everyone in the area - what a waste
Genie47 1st Gear September 29, 2008 Share September 29, 2008 Best solution is to pull out all the damn TVMobile or is it called MobTV now and install them everywhere that is needed in the walkabout area.
Silver_blade Turbocharged September 29, 2008 Share September 29, 2008 The big screen are definitely setup for those seating at the grandstand. The screen looks good viewing from the grandstand.
Kyojin 1st Gear September 29, 2008 Share September 29, 2008 that is why you hire KangarooTV. http://www.kangaroo.tv/ even better yet, stay home and enjoy the race.
Inimatad 1st Gear September 30, 2008 Share September 30, 2008 I have been to Sepang a couple of times. If you are seated at the cheaper stands far from the main straights, you will only get to see and hear the cars going pass you and nothing else. Next thing you know, its the victory lap liao - sigh ↡ Advertisement
