Tas0577 1st Gear September 26, 2008 Author Share September 26, 2008 Yes, without proper technique or skills when applying Rain repellant on the front windscreen will result jerky wiper. Anyway, rain repellant is not as good as those chemical they use which make use of Hydrophobic Technology and Fluoropolymer chemistry, isn't it? Tas0577 1st Gear September 30, 2008 Author Share September 30, 2008 Guys, I went to the Motorshow and happen to see another brand called the Nano V which also uses Hydrophobic Nano Coating. It is having a promotion so decided to give it a try, not sure anyone here tried before?
Mzrmazda3 6th Gear September 30, 2008 Share September 30, 2008 Bro, i have not tried these sort of Windscreen treatment before and would not in future cos the cost doesn't justify it S$110.00 i rather spend it on a groomer whom would make my ride Gim Gim No offence to anyone whom had used this sort of treatment
Tas0577 1st Gear September 30, 2008 Author Share September 30, 2008 Yes, I was quite skeptical at first but I have heard this Nano V company for some time and it is more reliable compared to the AquaMagic company. They claim that they are using the Sol Gel which can last up to 5 years so I decided to give it a try and no harm with it.

Tas0577 1st Gear October 6, 2008 Author Share October 6, 2008 I have it applied on my front windscreen on friday evening and immediately I get to try it when I was on my way home. It suddenly rain heavily and I was travelling around 70-80km/h along PIE towards Changi, I do not even need to switch on the wiper at all and the road is still very clear and visible to me. It is amazing that you can see water droplet rolling across the screen but it will not block your view and I would say it is worth it. Even if I use the wiper to wipe across the screen, my wiper will not judder and the water droplets are immediately gone with just one wipe. Will be considering to do the treatment for the whole car at the Motor show price of $308 so I just need to top up the balance. ↡ Advertisement
