EPL: The Reds Million Pound Flops ...................

After seeing the last weekends games, I could only sum up one thing about the Reds (Liverpool & Man U) are, they are wasting million of pound on 2 flops........

Liverpool : spending 20 million pound on Robbie Keane for running around aimlessly and shooting like secondary school boys playing for their school in inter school soccer competition ........ [:/][:/][:/] . Few times caught him passing to no man lands.... and doesn't click well with Torres until Babel came into the field.

Man U : spending 30.7 million pound on Dimitar Berbatov who is just as aimless as RK throughout the game against Chelsea. He even help to block a shot by Darren Fletcher in the opening 10 minutes from inside the penatly box. I was hoping that he will be replaced but instead, Park was replace by John O'Shea and Carlos Tevez was warming the bench. Poor Rooney had to play in midfield and at times help in defence (receive a yellow) where he is a striker by nature. Where is Berbatov [confused][confused]

SAF weird....... [hur][hur]

But should give both of them full marks when they were in Spurs as 2 aimless strikers combine well just like the scientific term - 2 negative add together gave positive results... [sly][sly]...... So now split the 2 and they are lost...... [sweatdrop][sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

Why Liverpool pay 20 million pound on a 28 yrs old striker and refuse to pay 17 million pound on a defensive midfielder Barry........ [sly][sly]

RB another weird...... [hur][hur]

My 2 cent worth of commence........ [:|][:|][:|]

these 2 players look good playing for an average team..

so when moving to a world class squad, they seem average..

anyway give them time..

nw w/o these 2..if spurs continue playing like they play..they might be relegated siah.

20m for an Irish all time top scorer at his peak, scoring more than 20 goals in his last 2 seasons.

vs

18m for a def mid who just got into the England setup late in his career and still fighting for England 1st team spot.

Without considering Liverpool's needs I think the choice is easy...

I agree with you on the part with Berbatov. I thought Manu played with 10 man against Chelsea yesterday cos I dun see Berbatov most of the time, at most catch him strolling the field.. [furious] Fergie shld have brought on Tevez to replace that park stroller and result might be diff now... [shakehead]

Err, would like to say its a bit early to label them as flops. Since both were signed relatively late in the transfer window and as such dun have much time to be properly introduced into the 2 clubs playing system. Also the 2 weeks international break in btn the league games doesn't help.

Would say a better judge/feel will be at around at around the 12-15 league games mark. Still feel they will come good, these 2 will not suddenly become ordinary players overnight.

Personally, think keane tries too hard, just relax and settle down a little shld be fine. But berba needs to try harder to sync with MAN Utd's high tempo game.

me notice that those player that was bought by SAF that did not went thru the pre-season games with the rest of the team...usually suffers....

look at Vidic and Evra...when they join during the Jan window...they suffer like [sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

"

think it might get BerBatov and the rest of the team sometime to get use to each other...
