ManU had it's setback last Saturday against Liverpool when they suffer a defeat at Ansfield.

Will they suffers another setback when they meet Chelsea this Saturday...... [sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

Not only that, they have a midweek Champion League game to play before they face Chelsea.

I forsee a draw game as both have CL to play in midweek....... [sly][sly][sly]

.............CHELSEA 0-0 MAN UNITED...............

So that Liverpool (meet Stroke City) lead the table by 13 points ....... [smash][smash][smash]

Even if Man Utd were to lose to Chelsea this weekend, there is nothing to worry about actually. Just a bad start to the season and moreover it's still early days and whoever leading the pack might not stay that way at the end of the season. Man Utd is not in unfamiliar territory and just because it have a bad start to the season especially after losing to Liverpool, a lot of ppl are already writting them off. Don't forget 2 seasons ago, they have a similar bad start and many pundits had wrote them off. Man Utd had the last laugh when they clinched the title. So, those who write them off now are doing so at their own peril.

I think it is a bit different this time...not tat I think Man U shld be written off if they lose to chelsea this weekend but I feel they cannot afford to have too much of a slow start if they wanna defend the title successfully this season...one of the reason why they can do it despite not a very good start two seasons ago was Chelsea was then having serious internal fighting among themselves...apart from tat, Liverpool and Arsenal was both not doing well themselves tat season too...

This season the competition will be more intense for Man U in that Chelsea is going to be much hungrier for the title this season after missing out for 2 seasons in a row, Liverpool also likely to improve on wat they did last season and Arsenal is already doing well last season but lost steam towards the end due to a spectacular collapse...I think they would need no further motivation to do better this time round...If Man U drop too many points at the start, they may have a tougher time to catch up unlike 2 seasons ago where their rivals were less threatening...but of cos I think its too premature to write off Man U shld they lose to Chelsea this weekend..

wait til xmas..that's when the separation between the top 4 and the rest began to show..

traditionally, that's when man utd are going full steam, when the rest of the pack are starting to lose steam..

I tends to agree with you in that point but, this season seem to be different.

Apart from the top 4, there are others who serious to challenge the top 4 in 2008/2009 season. Teams like Portsmouth and Man City.

Surprise of all is Hull City....... [sweatdrop][sweatdrop], Begining of the season, everybody write off Hull City and predict that they will landed in the bottom 3...... [sly][sly] . Now they are right at the top half.

3 setback in a row for them, hmmmmmmmm.

The reason y Man U win title last season is their good start. They cannot afford their traditional late burst nowadays. If they drop points against Chelski this weekend, this will seriously dent their chances. Like what i said, Lonado is their main reason for success last season. His goals cover up their weakness, Goalkeeper buay steady anymore, midfield engine room run out of steam, Looney bonk MILF too much till leg turn jelly.

yah man. yesterday was battle of the 5th position.

it's going to be everton, aston villa and portsmouth fighting it out i think. man city will be in transition, things will get ridiculously silly before it gets better.

hmm....hopefully everton can sustain their 5th position...

think they are suffering without much signing as compare to the rest of the team challenging for 5th spot.

yeah certainly 5th position is tough this year. Man City looks up and coming while the old stalwarts Everton and Aston Villa should still be there. Hence Spurs will be in for tough time.
