Sabretan 4th Gear February 21, 2009 Share February 21, 2009 there's a catch to 49,999. That is for the basic manual model. No sports rim, no leather seats..if u want leather seats, solar film, sports rim, bluetooth, ....like the review on 17th of Feb in Sgcarmart on Renault Megane, you need to pay abt 56k. Maxxtotal 1st Gear February 21, 2009 Share February 21, 2009 but i am not saying all french cars are lemon. it's just that with the same amount of $, it's better to consider jap/german/american cars. seems like a better deal than buying a french car. anyway few months back i watched a show that showed how difficult it is to change parts/service a renault Megane... that show muz be about headlamp replacement...for megane, its just that they have different ideas for bulb replacement. normally for most sedans you open the bonnet you can see the headlamp cluster unit. For Megane, the bonnet do not extend that far out so you cant see the headlamp unit cos of the bumper design. To replace the bulb, turn the wheel inside direction, open a latch in the wheel arch and replace the bulb. it is not that difficult, it is just bcos most technician/mechanic are not familiar with the car or never read the manual. but once they figured it, it took them less than 5 min to replace. similarly the aircon filer is damn simple to replace, but bcos they dunno where it is located, they spend more time trying to look for it than to replace it. most of them tot like most jap cars it should be somewhere near the grove box, but it is located just at the footwell panel near the driver left leg. simply pull out the panel, and change the filter. Maxxtotal 1st Gear February 21, 2009 Share February 21, 2009 looks like it is the same engine as current car's 110bhp that we will likely to get. The pre-facelift model of the current car used to have over 120bhp. But tuned down after facelift. not sure why.maybe it is to meet env regulation. Wyven Neutral Newbie February 26, 2009 Share February 26, 2009 i drive a meg pre facelift and the horse inside is 115, nothing to be happy abt cos the power over weight ratio aren't that great. Imported quite a number ofstuff to give me the omph, currently testing out a new toy. The pick up was fantastic, compare to another renault thou

Eugn86 3rd Gear August 12, 2010 Share August 12, 2010 I saw one too in my neighbourhood. Had to do a double, triple-take to confirm it's the new Megane. The front end a bit messy but otherwise really nice design overall.

PDK Neutral Newbie August 13, 2010 Share August 13, 2010 Wonder if you've watched a recent 5th gear episode about changing the headlamp bulbs on a Renault when they fail to work. Maybe that will keep your mind off the car...(no offence to Renault or those driving it)...Viva la France (especially the girls!)
Nullifi3d 4th Gear August 13, 2010 Share August 13, 2010 Wonder if you've watched a recent 5th gear episode about changing the headlamp bulbs on a Renault when they fail to work. Maybe that will keep your mind off the car...(no offence to Renault or those driving it)...Viva la France (especially the girls!) 5th gear overdid it although the basic steps on removing the headlamps are the same. Probably need not jack up the car, just full lock to one side and nimble fingers will do the job. So far have tried on my meg and it seems possible. I think the other interesting features of the car keeps my mind off the niggling aspects of the meg.
Ferraricalifornia 1st Gear August 13, 2010 Share August 13, 2010 just check out the features of the new Megane Hatch, nothing extraordinary leah.... has more or less the same features as its predecessor.... but it's rivals have caught up in this aspect of the 'game' already....
