inlinesix Hypersonic September 12, 2008 Share September 12, 2008 Ferrari skidded due to wet condition. Wider tyre is prone to aquaplanning. By d way, if u r in his shoe, what will u do?
Walterkoh Neutral Newbie September 12, 2008 Share September 12, 2008 you r saying ferrari using lousy tyres or ferrari not suitable to be driven in wet weathers? if ferrari owners cant handle the car properly, dun waste the car. MUST go for courses like defensive driving. if wider tyres more prone to aquaplanning, how about F1 cars? their tyres even wider i suppose, so not a good reason. if i were him, dun go m..sia, wont die one. if i can afford a ferrari, i would have a few other cars, the most get a jap/korean MPV, or jus drive a sonata, no robbers will eye on it. if die die must go m..sia n show off ferrari, i would have learned all the advance driving skills then go. 3rd gear in a ferrari, u think even a modified merc e-class can smell smoke??? Schneider79 Clutched September 12, 2008 Share September 12, 2008 Not a lot of people can properly drive these cars. Moreover, most of these cars are termed as Garage Queens. Recently learned from bmw-sg forum...
Sunrise Neutral Newbie September 12, 2008 Share September 12, 2008 It's well known that wider rear tyres will increase the tendency to aquaplane. Ever seen F1 cars queueing up to aquaplane once it becomes wet.....
inlinesix Hypersonic September 12, 2008 Share September 12, 2008 Please check out the relationship btw aquaplanning, tyre footprint & tyre contact patch. It is not a question whether he attend defensive driving course. It is a question of whether he can use d skill on d road. Mind u, pilota Ferrari has a long waiting q up to 3 yrs. In a wet condition, it is dangerous to change direction during hi speed on wider tyre especially hi power RWD. Please watch F1 closely. It is also true when they r on intermediate/wet tyre. It is not what ka he drive. It is where his ka is originated from. Mind u, there r more expensive ka in Malaysia. Hav u done what u describe? Well, if there is faster ka from behind, i will move my left as long as there is 2 ka space. Once tis ka pass me, i will juz come back to the right lane. All done without stepping on d brake. Lastly, please don't go Malaysia. It is not worth risking ur life for cheap petrol.
Walterkoh Neutral Newbie September 12, 2008 Share September 12, 2008 i know about cars, just find it strange a ferrari being chased by a merc, ferrari skidded, merc nothing wrong!!! so buy merc better. n its cheaper. with the savings in buying merc, even e-class amg or s-class, can still afford 1st class air ticket to europe for shopping branded goods
inlinesix Hypersonic September 12, 2008 Share September 12, 2008 Even u give d driver a AMG Merc, he may panic & still crash. It is not about the hardware (ferrari/AMG Merc). It is about the software (driver). Whether he could use d 1.5 tonne missile to d best of its ability. Driving ferrari in MY "allows" u to achieve speed that u could not do it here. Mayb he could fly 1st class to Germany & hire a ferrari to drive on Nurburgring.
En0203 2nd Gear September 12, 2008 Share September 12, 2008 It is not that. His attitude towards F1 and driving style indicates that. i think his attitude is ok, he seems to be quite hardworking in ferrari. but his driving style
Fortress Clutched September 13, 2008 Share September 13, 2008 (edited) guess, i meant attitude is get into the fastest car and drive like hell. And other than that..development etc...no Oh..no...Ferrari extended Kimi for another year. Edited September 13, 2008 by Fortress
En0203 2nd Gear September 13, 2008 Share September 13, 2008 (edited) it's not one year but two looks like ferrari still have faith in kimi. we'll see whether he still drive like sh1t next year by the way, today's qualifying quite surprising, maybe massa got chance tomorrow that day sorry, i was a bit slow over the phone coz most of my concentration was on the road. i was driving then Edited September 13, 2008 by En0203
Fortress Clutched September 14, 2008 Share September 14, 2008 Not to worry. Anyway, probably, perhaps Kimi's contract has a clause that he must win the championship, if not he is out...hopefully.
En0203 2nd Gear September 14, 2008 Share September 14, 2008 but 2 years contract is a long one, seems like ferrari still think he can make it. any idea where would alonso go next time?? renault cannot make it nowadays ah.. race is starting soon, can't wait to see how kimi and lewis will struggle from the back of the grid, it's going to be interesting today
Fortress Clutched September 14, 2008 Share September 14, 2008 Friends called to tell that it might be a safety car starts to space out the chain...oh...no... Kimi.... coincidentally, was reading The Greatest Driver , MS., probably because of a number of things Alonso have said and did during the 06 and 05 times. King_of_abalone Clutched September 15, 2008 Share September 15, 2008 maybe it is E Class 63 AMG. That car is as fast as Ferrari. you r saying ferrari using lousy tyres or ferrari not suitable to be driven in wet weathers? if ferrari owners cant handle the car properly, dun waste the car. Kooler Neutral Newbie September 15, 2008 Share September 15, 2008 (edited) Actually you dun need a similarly powerful car to catch up with a Ferrari in traffic.U juz gotta be gutsy and really good at weaving around cars dats all and that's something malaysians good at. In slightly heavy traffic U can actually catch up with a car twice as fast as yours by actually switching lanes/overtaking twice as much as it does. En0203 2nd Gear September 16, 2008 Share September 16, 2008 ur friend was right it was a safety car start and it took out all the fun and opportunity at start both ferrari can't perform well i wonder is it because of the drivers or the car lewis drove like road bully that day and great drive from vettel, probably the next rain master after MS
