Eyke Supercharged September 5, 2008 Share September 5, 2008 (edited) no diff as it's a done deal, unless he signed on some black and white that he must return the $100 if he terminate the insurance. if he didn't and especially if the agent didn't mention anything in the first place, then no case lah. Damienic 5th Gear September 5, 2008 Share September 5, 2008 (edited) i alr received a lashing in sms by him , still simi friend I probably can understand its quite a turn off that he is chasing you for the $100 to such an extent...but on the otherhand, its not a big sum of money and since he gave it as a special discount to you in the first place, why not just pay him back(stressed to him that its on goodwill basis and not out of obligation) and let the matter close instead of dragging it and having to face his relentless chasing? just return him the money and tell yourself you'll nvr gonna deal with him again in future since he doesn't treat you like a fren at all.. Xtremegal Neutral Newbie September 5, 2008 Share September 5, 2008 Dear all, i would like to seek some feedback on my current situation. 2008 Jan, i renewed my previous car insurance with a old friend who is an agent ( hi - bye type friend ) He gave me a special discount of abt 100+ dollars off my premium , after i asked is there any good price since i 've been with him since 2006. In June 08 i changed car , and the insurance company refunded me the excess of the premium as i used 6mths of the insurance. In Aug 08 , my friend started calling me and asking me to pay him back 100 dollar as they cut back his commission due to i change car and terminate the policy . Do i have the right not to pay him the $ Because honestly i feel there i have the right not to pay back as i did not demand the $ and on start he did not inform me on this issue. Pls share your honest view on this case _---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- by right when you bought a new car, you can get your friend to do the new insurance. Thats will save you from paying him back the $100.

Psfong Clutched September 6, 2008 Share September 6, 2008 Honestly, from a thirty party viewpoint. Rather than having 2 stingy man arguing over $100, why not be you yourself be the gentleman and return him the $100?
Ahsiong Neutral Newbie September 6, 2008 Share September 6, 2008 if what you have written is true, then there is no point in refunding him as the relationship has already soured over just a small sum. this agent really don't deserve anything as he don't look at things in the long term. returning him the money won't solve anything. just like a broken vase, no matter how you mend it, you will still see the crack line. this agent will be lucky if you didn't transfer all your insurance or investment to another agent which is totally within your rights to do so if you really find him to be unhelpful or incompetent. Ironstarz 1st Gear September 6, 2008 Author Share September 6, 2008 Anyway i return him a partial sum which is a small amt and we end everything there, i alr transferred everything to another agent alr, he really left a sour taste for me
